forgot to import the certificate in the browser. What you said in the end about the traffic being encrypted between the browser and kibana is wrong. Won't be true until importing the certificate.
Hi, your previous video had a load balancer. Would I need to add load balancer ip in rsyslog con? I tried lbip but it didn’t work, it only works when I put backend server ip where graylog is hosted. This wouldn’t work for auto scaling
To allow port 514 on Graylog, you have two options as mentioned in the video transcript: Option 1: Run Graylog as a root user (not recommended) Open the Graylog service file for editing. This can be done using the CLI (Command Line Interface). Locate the lines that define the user and group for Graylog. Change the user and group values from "graylog" to "root". Save the changes and exit the file. Restart the Graylog service. Option 2: Redirect traffic with IP tables (recommended) Open the IP tables configuration file using a text editor (e.g., nano or vi). Locate the line that sets the value of "IP tables" to "no". Change the value to "yes" to enable IP tables. Save the changes and exit the file. Create a new input in Graylog with the desired port (e.g., 514). The traffic will now be redirected to the specified port, and you will be able to see your logs.

I am in my 3rd year of computer science studies. I recommend the macbook air m1 8g 512g for trackpad, sleep mode, battery, performance, linux terminal. I don't recommend it for windows virtualization and opensuse but ok for ubuntu in arm version.
Bro !! you just added the certificate and private key of the certification authority and not the one's of the kibana server !!!!!!!! can you explain this ???? I think that the correct way is to generate the kibana private key and the kibana CSR file with the ./bin/elasticsearch-certutil csr -name kibana-server tool, this command will generate the kibana-server.key and the kibana-server.csr which must be passed to the certification authority to obtain the kibana-server.crt . Can you reply to my comment please ?? PS : I'm using kibana 8.6.2 and thank you so much for the tutorial.
