Amazing work... I wish Tomb Raider 2 got a remake (not only a remaster). And the first level should be way longer than the original one with plenty of caves and ruins to explore.

Also if you need help contact me, i remember playing tomb raider on ps1, 33 years gaming and i can write in a few program codes. i am making a game engine. What engine are you using for this masterful display?
Hi, I downloaded it and it looks beautiful in the videos. Unfortunately I did some damage with the controls. How can I put the default ones back? I can't do it and I don't want to uninstall and reinstall. Help

They aren’t making a remake, they are making a remaster of the original games. Which means it’s still built on the same engine, but it’s been upgraded, where’s a remake is made from the ground up.
this is wondeful work. makes me feel so nostalgic for the Tomb Raider 2 game. Used to play it when I was 7 years old. I am confident many people including the designer share my nostalgia. this developer put in the extra effort to make this demo, and its a piece of art !
I have to be honest i like mush more and have more fun play this amazing work by demo then play shadow of TR the last one ,the way he design the game its exacly what tomb raider fans love just exacly,i pay 50 Euros for a new game comes from you without think...but for that i know you need a bigger team some one from the big company showld help you

Thank you for making this, when I first tried it, I was overwhelmed, your dedication, passion was truly felt throughout the entire demo. It is a faithful remake, and I am willing to go as far as to say that it beats the newer Tomb Raiders easily, as it remains so true to the classics, and the classics is what it is all about for a great deal of old school Tomb Raider fans like myself. Awesome work, I hope you keep at it, as this is something special, I was happy to see the new quad bike demonstration, looks like great fun, if you happen to get as far as to make the snowmobile levels, with some badass music to it, it will surely be awesome to joy ride around. I don't understand why people like the new Lara croft franchise which is Rise of the Tomb raider and Shadow of the Tomb raider which is shifted from Exploration and focused on combat । Lara croft was not about that। My respect to Nicobas and his team for remaking the original Lara croft games । Hope they finish the entire game and release। we are ready to buy it ।
I highly suggest for at least an engine use for public, there really hasn't been any engine rather than the Classic CORE Tomb raider level editor so far close to a true tomb raider experience for the legend trilogy.
@@slayerdude18 projects like these take time and effort as well as money, and they're not lucrative at all, I wouldn't blame anyone for dropping something like this
@@slayerdude18 He's still working on it anyways he doesn't post very often but every once in awhile he'll post a short clip or some screenshots on Twitter people are just too lazy to go and check and would rather complain about it on RU-vid since that's where they first saw the project.
@@slayerdude18 Lately he's been working on Croft Manor and showed off some really good looking screenshots of Lara's assault course, the main entrance outside, the grand entrance where the staircase is, a greenhouse type room with wooden walkways, Lara's workout gear, a model of Winston, etc. He also posted some clips of a really damn good looking weather system and day night cycle. Also keep in mind it's one dude working on a game with AAA level graphics so progress is gonna be slowwwww just be patient and keep an eye on the dudes Twitter.
It's still being worked on they just don't post videos about it, all their updates have been screenshots on Twitter and the post come out very infrequently.
It was down for a little while but it's back also keep an eye on their Twitter that's where they're the most active (which is not very active at all) and they post screenshots every once in awhile.
I've replayed this again since you first released it with settings on max on high res on a 3080 and it looks incredible even in 2022. The detail is just insane it rivals SOTR if not better.. you should really start a kickstarter to finish this whole game!
this underwater part was one of my favorite in the original game, can't wait to see how you reimagine the wrecked ship...just by seeing how he made the first level, the Monastery in Tibet will be pure eyecandy too :D
@@BASSstarlet You can't even imagine how much time and passion goes into creating something like this. I would gladly send something small for what he has already achieved, and how much of his free time he has devoted for this project. This looks like a AAA game, which companies have millions of dollars of budget, are being created by hundreds of people for years. Just to put things into perspective for you.
