Man, i used to play mostly at raider and some times crewmembers, didnt liked pilot at all cause of the biplane (mostly cause i was new and yu know skill issue) but when i tryied the messer... My god im in love with that plane.
@@gabrielegenota1480 It’s speed that allows you to turn tighter for X amount of time. Speed is managed on how much potential and kinetic energy you have. I recommend checking out war thunder energy videos to get a better understand of it
im screwing this up, buuuut im still a new pilot. My strongsuit is dogfighting im reaally good at it. Its just a bit hard to avoid crashing into walls for me :/
this should be the official training video for pilots (In-game of course). most pilots I meet have more training and experience than the kid in the test that didn't study.
After the recent balancing regarding ceiling alt limits at 2.5k alt. Yeah I most likely will now go try out the Triplex again. I would use a triplex only if I wanted to show off skills, but I mainly use the Messer to relax when I play AA due to its ease of control and stability.
@@PanzerKampfWagen1918bro It’s a maybe since it’s a pretty balanced aircraft and it’s easy handling so in terms of making a video, not likely. Playing with it is more satisfying than a messer as long a tail gunner isn’t shredding me apart
I’m quite aware there is now a 2.5k alt climb ceiling limit that potentially makes this video somewhat outdated against an experienced triplex user. I’ll be working on a new video soon after I figure out this new mechanic after not playing for a while.
There will a positioning armor study based off this video as I'll feature 2 minutes prior to the video's start to get you guys understanding on how to ambush an enemy front at the right time. There will be one more Bradley video that will feature it's own armor study based off the basic art of armor gambling. Thank you guys for the continued growth as I'm more happy to share you guys more videos.
There won't be any armor study based off this video since it's us clubbing the shit out of their team. But I do give one lesson: If you wanna skyline your tank, your hairline will be baked. (Don't skyline your tanks for longer than 45 seconds) Yes I am aware that first T62 cook off what ended the round, but lets be honest: The second T62 was gonna get ammo racked.
So here are the "What-ifs" Paths: What if the MGS did come in time?: This is assuming that the Abrams and the Stryker MGS are about to come at the same time, but the MGS pops out first. There's still some RNG factor, but in the best moves, we'll be forced to engage and engine the MGS where the RWS has to pop its tires to prevent it from sliding any further toward our side. Letting the Stryker MGS be immobilized on our front is better than our side. If we need to pull back for a positive tempo, we do have the hill still separating us from the M1 Abrams luckily, which is why it's important to pick where you engage targets. If the Stryker MGS came after the first fire exchange between our ZTZ and the Abrams: The RWS must be targeting the Stryker's tires to slow it down. It's a hard decision, but the best decision is to kill the Stryker MGS as it's a guaranteed 10 tickets and it gives us a slight chance of killing the Abrams since the Abrams was hit once and we have the HP pool lead. As long my driver knows when to reorientate our armor when we get penned is the key difference between the fight as the Abrams would've rather died by slugging it out (like in the video) or if the Abrams driver didn't orientate armor, I would've ammo racked them. What happens if the Stryker MGS came out and engaged us first? The best move would be to attempt to hit the MGS once while the RWS engages its wheels. Whether you can get a shot or not, you must be able to know when to pull back behind the hill for safety to reset the position and fight. Pulling back if the Stryker got hit once would most likely prompt the Stryker MGS to retreat out of the fight while we retreat behind cover where we essentially come to the original stalemate. If the Stryker MGS doesn't get hit in the first shot, then retreat and reengage the Stryker until it's dead as even if we did die by the Abrams, the Abrams at most would be heavily damaged and is between our main and enemy Infantry while being immobilized. The purpose of this example is to show you the understanding of patience and what to do in a defensive tempo.
Thanks for the support man! In real life (and war thunder) I absolutely agree in using HEAT-FS against any IFV in general. In Squad, the devs unrealistically have it where HEAT-FS does less damage against armored vehicles. The value makes it worse since the GE mod has the Bradley HP pool being buffed (in vanilla 2 shots to the bradley would've killed it). I should probably make a future video on a live-Jensen Range on which round is better for different types of vehicles because HEAT-FS doesn't consistently one-shot light vehicles either in both modded and vanilla.
@@benmcccool0123Yeah, I genuinely hope they rework vehicles the same way they polished the infantry combat. Different shells, mechanics and so on and so forth. Oh, and btw! Your Airship Assault videos helped me a ton. Being able to safely engage Triplexes feels really good.
The second Bradley gunner should uninstall right now... Bro had the chance to TOW you in the tracks first time and while you dont have visibility to finish you BUT NO LETS FIRE THE ATGM 5 METERS FROM YOU SO IT DOESN'T EVEN ARM
I forgot to mention an important detail regarding driving the abrams: Since squad does register a penetrating shot if the shot hits the side of the tank, even at a sloped angle. My driver did the best thing and put us squared AND held to minimalize the chance of penetrating shots from the enemy while giving me a chance to fire. A good gunner can't exist without a good driver... uhhh I'm not sure how do I describe it in this case lmao.
Videos like this is what i like the most about Squad's youtube community. Small chanels with small amount of views per video posting incredible stuff you will never see on big chanels.
Good content, nice to see people who put thought into their actions rather than losing their train of thought as soon as they see the enemy on their screen, which a lot of players unfortunately still do
Perfect ambush, immobilized the lead, blocking the tailing vehicles in, a shame it didn’t reload in time for you to track the second Bradley too, theyd all have been sitting ducks, but you still killed it later
Tbh I quickly changed my mind on tracking the second Bradley since that 105mm MGS can pen my front and have a chance on tracking/ammo racking me, potentially causing more problems vs what I did here. I covered it in the follow up armor study video (in the comments)
Im sure some of you guys might ask the "what ifs?": You might be asking for alternative scenarios. (TLDR pick your fights, know your risks): What if I didn't ammo rack the Lead Bradley? : With the rear Bradley not being able to maneuver around to get distance + flanking shot, it puts the rear Bradley out of the factor for a moment. The best for the rear Bradley was to be able to get a chance to retreat out of the fight, leaving the other two to die. The lead Bradley wasn't going to be anywhere to be able to retreat due to it being tracked, so it would've died after I dealt with the MGS Stryker. The best they could've done against me was to track me and buy some time for Infantry AT or the Abrams to come in and fight, possibly winning (as the crewmen did bail, giving them a chance to kill us if we did go out to repair the tank). What if the Abrams was present in the armored convoy?: A lot of factors would play depending on the positioning of the Abrams, but here are the sub-scenarios (assuming you do the best possible moves and shots): If the Abrams was the lead vic: Immobilize the Abrams as it would stop around where the Lead Bradley was. it would give them a chance to fire at us (if the gunner has a quick reaction), but in a high possibility where it doesn't hit us the first few seconds, Immediately back up to break the Line of Sight (using the tree) and engage the MGS. The MGS would definitely be destroyed, but you'll have to take two options to engage the Abrams: A. Push up and risk getting tracked at a bad position where you can't hit the Abrams due to obstacles B. Leave the Abrams where it's at and retreat to reposition an opportunity to engage the running Bradlies (I personally would've chosen this option) If Abrams was somewhere in the Middle: Most definitely the Abrams Turbine would be layered over the Bradley, without getting too deep into theory the best move is to let the entire convoy pass, then once out of audio range, kill the rear vehicle (In this case, both vehicles would be two-shot kill) and it's up to you if you want to take a huge risk and engage or play it safe and retreat. Now if your engine audio gets caught by the armored convoy, most likely they would stop and try to get the Abrams to get the first contact, which would take too much time to engage you if you can retreat properly, you would most likely retreat and be alive, but not score any kills. Staying and waiting for enemy armor to pass to your front to shoot at would be futile as there's two vehicles with cannons (Abrams and MGS) and two vehicles that can easily flank you and TOW/Engine you. If Abrams is stupidly in the rear: It is the same thing as letting them pass, except you would commit to engaging the Abrams once you hit it from the rear since the Abrams might be able to hit you, but most definitely not in your ammo rack (if facing frontally). You'll have enough time to kill the Abrams and be able to retreat. The only bad move is if you engage the Abrams way too far (in which for the map, is very unlikely) then it might have enough depression to hit your tracks and immobilize you, giving a chance for other vehicles/infantry to finish you off, but you'll still kill an Abrams. If the Stryker MGS was in the rear: Seeing how the rear Bradley had enough time to retreat, most definitely the MGS striker also had time to retreat. Since both Bradlies are too close to engage you with TOW, finish both of them off. You might be engaging the Stryker from the rear by the time you kill both of them, but you'll still win the fight since the Stryker will have to take 4 shots to kill you vs you killing it within 2 shots.
You’re using the messer wrong. It’s a plane desinged to be used vertically, you aint gon outmatch a triplex with turns. Edit: ignore this comment, 4 days later and I already think It’s outdated
From what i learnt from this video is to use th messer for hit and run tactics and stuff and use the triplex when you don't have 7 planes on you Edit: if you're in a messer shooting a bomber, cut the throttle to atleast 40-70 and try to shoot the pilot
