We have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon that is currently all stock except for an AEV 2” spacer lift, 37" Fallken Wildpeak Mud Terrain tires, an OpenRoad 13,000lb winch, and a Clayton rear adjustable track bar.
When you are driving and set the rear camera on screen its very DANGEROUS because the cars on the left are actually on your right side. Its called mirrored
@@sandorsebestyen8620 nope. Incorrect. 😆 you can actually flip it if you need to, but no. Mine is correct just as it would be with the normal rear view mirror…. 😂👍👌
Looks good. You will like it except mud will sling down the sides now! Sometimes it comes in my window! I had 2 inch spacers and eventually bought Method bead lock wheels which are already 2 inch offset. I still have the 2 inch spacers. Wish I would have know I would have given them to you for all the good videos you make!
@@bennie873 I know! I’ll be upset if rocks are going to be smacking my doors now haha. I kind a liked avoiding all the mud on the sides too. Ugh. 😩 😂 but now I can fully turn in parking lots lol 😂
@@appalachhaun_adventures Lol. There was a guy who looked just like you and same gladiator. We were on a trip taking my sons friend on his first offroad adventure in his new 2 door bronco and as we passed I saw that guy, turned around, then couldn't tell if it was really you, then realized there was no dog and said Nahh probably wasn't you. All good.
@@bennie873 they do seem to sit down pretty close to being right on the bed. If the carpet is very think it may be tight getting them to fit the screw holes but might not be too bad just might have to push down while try to get the screws in, etc.
Hey! I have a newer car that doesn’t have a 12v adapter cigarette lighter plug in. I only have a type c and usb. Do you know how I can still connect this? Maybe somehow converting it? Is there a converter plug or something? Thanks in advance! Anyone is welcome to comment please.
@@stevensam8834 I can try it with just the USB port on the mirror plugged into USB in my Jeep to see if that will power it. My Jeep is in the shop so it may be a few days tho. The 12v power cord plug in is a USB C on the mirror. Maybe just a regular USB C cord will work. Not sure if that will power it. I can try. I can also ask the company themselves via email!! Let me see what I can do!
@@stevensam8834 the best solution is to buy the mirror + hardwire kit together. If you go to the link below or the link for the mirror in the video description you’ll see you can get the mirror + hardwire kit bundle for like $10 extra. It’ll then be hooked up to your vehicle battery for power. If you think that may be hard to install, search RU-vid for mirror dash cam hardwire kit install. I’m sure they’re all very similar between the brands. Also, I’m sure a local car stereo shop or something like that could easily do it for you too. I hadn’t planned on using it for the 24 hour parking monitor feature so I didn’t bother with that hardwire kit. I’m sure it’ll have instructions with it too though. amzn.to/4evyMuG
@@stevensam8834 the other alternative would be a standard usb-c cable from the mirror to your vehicle. However, I’m not sure if your vehicle usb-c ports would supply stable power output from those usb-c ports. I still don’t have my Jeep back from the dealership to try that with just a straight up usb-c cable.
@@mohammedkahwaji4023 Only reason you want to to have power when vehicle is off and locked is if you want to have the 24/hr parking monitor on so it’ll record if the vehicle is hit. If you want to use that functionality on the mirror dash cam, you need the hardwire kit to wire it to the battery. If you do that, you no longer need the 12v cigarette lighter power port. I put the link for that hardwire kit in the video description too or it’s there if u go look on Amazon for the mirror and it’s in a bundle to buy both.
Another great video my friend this trail is still a lot of fun I never get tired of riding it good job my friend keep on keeping on see you on the next one.
Okay. So, this jumper wire does not "bypass" the aux battery as stated in the Speedflate description. I was confused after reading the Speedflate description so I messaged them. In the description it's described as both a "bypass" and a "connector/charger". TJ at Speedflate messaged me back apologizing for any confusion stating that the product "connects the two". I'm assuming the two batteries. I'm further assuming,(as I'm not an auto mechanic), that if the main and aux are connected, the alternator would in turn keep both the main and aux charged. Would the alternator be overworked charging two batteries and subject to premature failure? Still somewhat confused.................G
@@hartman4922 isn’t the alternator already working to keep the 2 batteries charged?? 😂 otherwise that little tiny aux battery wouldn’t be lasting very long…
@@appalachhaun_adventures Well, the tiny battery doesn't last very long. it is my understanding and from what the dealership stated, that the aux battery is not charged. This is why they are an issue and frequently replaced. My aux lasted 3 years and it gave me plenty of warning it was on the way out. I'm not saying it's a bad product, I just would like to know what it actually does before I alter a $60G vehicle. So far I've gotten no definitive answer. ATB.........G
@@hartman4922 from my unders it only runs your electrics like lights, A/C, stereo, etc. when you’re at a stop light or stopped and the auto stop/start is on, which turns your vehicle off at those stops. So while you’re vehicle is off when u use that goofy auto/start stop, it only runs those things from what I have been understanding. But if it drains out or goes bad, it will drain your main battery very quickly and people can’t jump off the Jeep to get it started if both batteries are drained out. 🤷🏻♂️
@@appalachhaun_adventures You're not picking up what I'm laying down. I know what the battery does. I don't know what the Speedflate jumper does and nobody including the company who makes it can tell me. Their rep said it "connects the two". The two what? Terminals, batteries, what? And if it connects the batteries will the alternator charge both batteries. That being said, this dead horse has been officially beaten. Cheers.........G
@@stevewatts9744 ya I need to grab me some little ones and get that all set up to make it quick and easy for future use!! Good idea. That was the first time I ever had that guy line on there
Back in mid march i was at a campsite in sarahs creek located close by the kell family cemetery. I have never ever been in a forest whern there was no sounds of owls, squirrels or any bugs. It was a very errey hike that night up to rhe Kell family graveyard.
Looks like a great adventure and fun place to explore! Enjoying this content and seeing what the JL/JT's can do. Very impressive. I'm looking forward to the next adventure. Cheers!
@@appalachhaun_adventures Yes! I'm loving my JL Rubicon and coming up on owning it a year here in December. It's amazing what these machines can do. I'm from SC. Maybe someday we'll cross on a trail.
@@appalachhaun_adventures no. That camp before the turn around. Those “side trails” is why they are gating off that whole road before the first water crossing. People keep going over and tearing down signs on those illegal side trails. Last time we camped there we had side by sides and jeeps all night long.
@@WolfOverland a few gladiators went in there from the campground the evening before and I never saw them exit. Never saw them in the campground or on the trail the next morning either 🤔 🤷🏻♂️ not sure where they went 😂
Hello love the videos my friend sorry for the mishap on the ladder but hey it all worked out and if you're like me my brain kicks into turbo mode going in every direction at the same time so if I don't basically tie it to me when I'm loading up to go outside on my adventures it just might get left behind but anyway glad all worked out. I live in the Maggie Valley area and do quite a bit of trail riding in and around this area but not in the Georgia area and like the trails in the area you're videos help me decide on trips in these areas wouldn't mind meeting up sometime and doing some adventuring. Thanks for the videos my friend keep on keeping on see you on the next one. "Happy adventures "
@@jamesmccall1745 hey thanks! That’s cool I can help someone out! Hopefully, everyone can get a good idea of what to expect in this area when looking for new places to go!
Enjoyed watching. I felt bad for you forgetting the ladder. I’ve done stuff like that often enough that I create checklists for myself. Might want to consider some protection for your front diff if you don’t already have it.
@@appalachhaun_adventures yep, and in the very back of the camping area where you have to cross the stream there’s a waterfall behind the very back campsite by the bathroom.
Also when you go past the big camping area in the back and stay to the left to go up the mountain there’s a small campsite on the left in the curve to the right and in that campsite just across the little stream there’s a grave of a man that was buried there in 1975 if I remember correctly, so whenever we go to Sarah’s Creek to camp we try our best to leave some flowers for the old fella.
@@StandAloneAdventures Ya I wanted to go check that out but didn’t haha. I wasn’t sure how long Sarah’s creek and Earl’s Ford trails were going to take haha
We love that area and those trails. We go there often. Popcorn is a great trail too! Happy Birthday Sara! You should get you a hitch skid plate. I love mine. It protects the hitch and is very strong! Another great video. Thanks
you sure.,.. ?? just found this : Pet Friendly Notes Windrock Park allows you to bring the whole family. Please keep your pets in your line of sight and clean up after them.
@@appalachhaun_adventures I would just call the store and ask, they real nice folks,..can't get anymore than "better" for ya. Plus, you would REALLY like that area / opportunity.
@@appalachhaun_adventures totally agree / understand that one. Three choices,... printed map from the store,.. Windrock has an app with the map "in it",.. and of course third party mapping software like Lifetime Trail maps, OnX, Gaia, etc. Everyone has their own opinion, preference, etc, but there are MANY stories of folks who feel they made one wrong turn and got in way over their head there, so preparation, and "buddies", really make all the difference on trail selection / risk.
Thanks for the video and info, have been reading about wheel/tire combos for my 2020 JT Rubicon. I love the look of the factory 17" x 7.50" wheels I have and want to go to a 37" tire but have been hesitant due to the 37" only being in a min width of 12.50". Everyone online is saying with stock wheels 11.50" width is the max you can go due to the tire will crown when mounted on the 7.50" width rim. Obviously you are doing it with no issues. Looking back do you think you would rather have went with a wider rim with more offset?
@@MrKeithrichardbritt nope. I like. At full turn it will rub a tad and you’ll have to back off the full lock turn a bit. Other than that, it’s fine. I did just put on 1.75” sidetrack wheel spacers to give me full turn again. It was a little annoying in parking lots and drive throughs sometimes but it wasn’t bad. I still don’t want different wheels. I’ll have a wheel spacer video out soon
@@warmeds2009 it would need to be the right exact height for the tent to rest on it when it’s unfolded. Whatever that exact height is depends on where I set the tent up and the terrain if it’s not exactly level.
Dude...back when I was a big duck hunter, I worked for a couple of years to gain access to some private property that stayed covered up with ducks all of the time. The landowner finally agreed and I slipped in about 4 AM, set out my decoys, threw up a really awesome makeshift blind and just sat there enjoying the night noises for a couple of hours. Just before shooting light, I went back to get my blind bag, shells, calls, gun, and dog from the truck, only to realize that my gun was still leaning up in the corner of the dining room, by the door that I walked out. I had been so concerned with all of the little things that I forgot my shotgun. SMH. Haven't hunted much since then. LOL!
I once left the tree straps for my hammock at home in a different load out bag. At least you didn't hike in 10 miles to find that out! It seems that your channel name is appropriate "Adventures." I agree with the other comments about the seat time. Love the Jeep and am envious of the diesel. Always enjoy your channel, especially since we are not far from you here in East Tennessee. It wasn't completely worthless; you showed your viewers the campsite which is something I have been interested in and it provided me (and others) some good information and gave me some more places to visit myself!
Sarah’s Creek was at one time our favorite camping spot, and you were at our favorite spot! But it’s gotten ridiculous with idiots over time so we haven’t gone much this year. Sorry you didn’t get to stay my friend, better luck next time. Also, as of 2025 Sarah’s Creek will be by reservation only along with a few other areas in North Georgia so you might want to check before you go to any of them next year.
@@StandAloneAdventures thanks for the info and tip. It’s hard to reserve online when you have no clue what the sites look like haha. Some are a little too close to each other too. But it looked like a decent area to camp. It was very quiet at that spot. The Sarah’s creek trail looks very short on the map?? From what shows on the map, I was already halfway down Sarah’s creek road by the time I got to the campground area. Lol 🤷🏻♂️ is part of the trail actually not on the maps?
@@appalachhaun_adventures Yes, part of the trail isn’t on the map, at the very back of the campground the road stays to the left and takes you to the top of the mountain to a stream that you have to cross and go further up the trail, but be careful once you cross the stream and start up because the road is rutted out and shouldn’t be done alone. Also just before you got to the #8 campsite the road turns back to the left and goes for miles through War Woman WMA and that’s a cool ride as well, nothing major and when you come to the first fork stay to the left and that’s the way out but it’s a good ways before you get there. Hope all this helps. Oh , this road that turns back to the left is closed in the off season with a gate, I think it’s around late November when they close it.
I always carry extra stuff, and an extra little tent is one. For me usually never know when someone may forget their tent (or in this case ladder, lol). Honestly, I'm an engineer and would have been nerding out a little either in a walmart or HD, or?? trying to make it work but it's all good.
