My name is Myles and I am a passionate numismatist. I look for potential value in every piece, and admire the history behind each one. Coins and currency not only drive the economy, but they are also a rich source of knowledge and learning. They say knowledge is power, and that statement couldn't be more true with coin collecting. There is so much to learn and I love soaking it all in, because the more you know the more treasure you can find!
Do you think a 1888 Morgan silver dollar that weighs 25.6 g Is real? I have one and was wondering if it's real it's pretty dirty but in some spots has a lot of detail
how much is a worth 1902 cc Morgan silver dollar I will not find any information on the Internet about this year and what the value of this dollar is. Do you have information on how much it is worth?
Hey, man, I think that 1899-O that you showed for less than a second was a Micro O, which would make it more valuable than the normal sized O mintmark. Edit: ok now I saw you describe that - can you tell I commented on it before you showed it off later in the video? 😂
Great extensive video. Thank you very much. I was checking 3 of these for my mom. And then on to be graded. After I weighed them. Wow. Foooed me. All of them were 22.grams. Then compared them to mine that were a solid 26. Grams. Thx.
Hi hello i am living out of states i have two one dollar coins can u give ur email id so that i can send u pictures of coins these silver were minted in 1881 and 1879 can u please help me to know there current market value i will be greatfull to you
I don't know if it's just me but at the beginning of the video 0:57 where you show the 2 coins I noticed that the last "A" in America on the real one you can clearly see the bar across the A but you can't really see it on the fake. Maybe that's just me and my eyesight or just the way you held them both but all the way through I was trying to see if it was just me and to me it's consistent all the way through the video. If I'm right do you think that could be another way to spot a fake?
A Morgan dollar was discovered as genuine it was struck on aluminum. Unfortunately pcgs didn't list the coins weight but the aluminum Morgan should weigh less than silver.
Great video. I just bought the scale, similar to that in the video, after watching. After weighing a Morgan dollar, it checked out well. I then established its weight after sealing it in an airtite capsule. Question- would it be ok to use this weight (coin plus capsule) as a benchmark in weighing my other already-encapsulated Morgans, without having to remove them from their capsules (understanding the slight weight differences due to wear)? Thanks for your time!
Touching valuable coins no matter the metal type without gloves is a very bad habit. That’s the number 1 no-no for coin dealers and collectors. Doing so not only devalues the coins and lowers the grade of coins but also damages the coins. 🤷♀️ what’s the point sending them to ANACS? 🤦🏻♀️ Just sayin…
