I would be very interested to know what the difference is between the 2 years. I figured I’m covered either way since I have a 60 and 61 Fury. The 60 bumper was right in front of me and the holes lines up good and it seemed to fit well. As long as it fits good and looks nice, I won’t worry about it though. Thanks for checking in.
It's BEAUTY - and if door panels are in same condition as seats......its almost time capsule. Does it have original paint or is it repainted? My 1953 Cadillac is in good solid condition, but driver seat - leather - is rotted. Back seat is original It has 81000 orgininal miles - but its not nice like your "baby blue" Thanks for this video.
I don't know if you are still monitoring this video but I have a question. I just purchased a AMI JAJ-200 stereophonic which needs some TLC. But here is my dumb question. It has two amplifiers and two cables from the ton arm but how can it be stereo with just like this one. 1 main speaker and a horn. I thought stereo needed two speakers or 4 in this case.
Great question. I don’t see every comment but I do see yours! The jukebox cabinet itself is mono - you are correct. It is all set up to be stereo but it requires remote speakers to be used for actual stereo sound.
If it is off only a little bit, there are 3 screws on the front of the rotating drum of the now playing indicator. Loosen those screws and adjust the drum to line up with the correct record selection. If it is off by a lot, there is a shaft connecting the play indicator to the motor that turns the record holder basket. The motor and shaft are connected together with a rubber coupler. Loosen one of the hose clamps that is holding the coupler until you can freely turn the shaft and rotate it until the playing indicator lines up with the correct record playing. Tighten up the clamp on the coupler and fine tune the setting from the front adjustment if necessary.
@@NIXONGarage sadly I've seen that the windows is showing the wrong record again... This happened after some days again and I'm wondering why... I looked into the box but I found no reason so far....
This is the 1st vid I`ve watched and I`m sure its been mentioned and you prob know of it the epic Coldwar motors project with a 6o Fury. I have subscribed great bits you got! from a LHD Mk 2 Zephyr convertible owner in the UK
Welcome! Thanks for watching. I’ve seen the whole series on the Coldwar Motors 60 Fury. It was amazing. That car found the right owner for sure, anyone else would have said the car was too far gone. I was happy to see it saved! I’m not going to pretend to have the talent that Scott has in restoring cars…..that’s why I bought a solid Fury 😁 Check out my walk around video from when I first got the car if you get a chance. Take care of that Zephyr! I enjoy seeing classic cars from around the world that we don’t have here in the states
Just saw him in Knoxville. An all time great concert for me. Dwight is an absolute pro and his band is amazing. Literally smiled and sang along the entire show. So much fun!
Still have it and it will run but it’s not to the daily driver condition that I wanted it to be. Life got in the way and I’ve had to finish some projects for other people first, plus doing some home projects now too. I would love to be able to drive it regularly. I’ve picked up some parts for it… just waiting for the time to get to it. Thanks for watching
Gorgeous 53. My friend has a 52 Coupe in a similar color scheme, his is Olympic Blue with a darker colored top. It has been in his familys possession since 1955. His grandfather did the restoration on the car back 2003 to original specs, and it was given to my friend. He takes it to local shows and car meets and drives it occasionally.
It’s personal preference plus the Cadillac is in better condition. Both are very cool but are totally different styles. There’s a good number of Rivieras that can be found at car shows but a 53 Coupe DeVille is very seldom seen. Thanks for watching
Ken had been doing carburetor work from his house. I assume he still is but I’m not certain. Steve’s Antique Auto Repair in Muskegon should be able to do that work also.
The closing of Northwestern marked the end of an era. The owner Sam passed away unexpectedly, and it was only a matter of time after that. The guys did manage to keep it going for another year, but a lot of that year was spent selling the remaining inventory. Ken did plenty of work for me the past handful of years, including re-doing some cylinder heads with springs and seals, and hot tanking/honing a block and installing cam bearings. I can't think of many places like this that are left in Grand Rapids now.
I bought as much Big block Chrysler parts and HASTINGS brand parts and tools I could. I also bought the Hastings oil filters catalog rack and a great selection of catalogs to compliment it. I bought a Chrysler 413 block and a set of closed chamber heads from upstairs on south end the guys don't remember them being put up there! There were also a couple Buick Nailhead blocks there also. Good on you Nixon for saving what you could just like me! Ken had offered me the Babbit bearing service machinery but I couldn't afford it.
That’s great! I remember that 413 block sitting there for a long time and then one day it was gone. I figured it went to the scrapper. Glad you got it! I never checked the numbers, is it from an Imperial or a more performance engine? Hastings stuff is cool 👍
@NIXONGarage getting that block down the stairs with Ken's dolly (and Ken too) was a challenge to say the least. Gene sold me hastings sparkplugs that have yellow porcelain on them. Also when I bought the catalog rack from Lenny Gene and Ken both made me care packages if i bought the rack i got the care packages free. GENE gave me 176 champion sparkplugs and some newer Hastings sparkplugs with white porcelain (Hastings stopped plug MFG in the 50s) and Ken gave me a Hastings electrical tester from '69 in original packaging but used and a Hastings dwell meter/tachometer. They treated me wonderfully and I know they did you too! I'll look at the ID pad on the 413 block
I am in the heavy duty truck parts business for over 35 years. I started in a small Mom and Pop store. It's sad for me to see, brings back a lot of memories. Employees raised families working at that store. If only the walls could talk.
The whole crew at Northwestern were just wonderful to deal with, I miss going in to see them. Gene and the guy’s treated me very well. I miss Ken’s stories and talking music with Leonard too
N.O.S. means New ORIGIANAL Stock Parts , American Pickers came up with the New Old Stock because they did NOT know the real meaning! N.O.S. Parts could have been made 100 years ago or YESTERDAY!
