Wholesome. Also, vr is like a lucid dream, chill & relax with no worries. Its like, if dreams had multiplayer feature. Wish real world could be just like vrchat, or it will become one day, and wish it could be soon. Or, wish one day ppl in the future would be able to live and work in vr.❤ ❤❤
Me too 😩. It almost feels like social VR is teaching us how to talk to each other again ever since our phones and media took us from each other. (For those of us who don't go out much at least lol)
My character moves forward when i try to line up my feet and using the Y axis method takes not only the character but also the tracking points up.. any fixes for these issues?
Sounds like you may have not enabled legacy calibration. Since this video came out they've added the legacy calibration option in the settings. This should unlock your trackers from the model during calibration. Sorry for the late response and hope this helps 🙏
If your physical trackers are on your feet but show up on your shins on your avatar it's likely a scaling issue between you and the avatar (e.g. avatar has longer legs) you can use playspace mover to line the feet up but obviously this moves your head and rest of your body down as well. You can move the trackers individually in vrchat now in the settings as well as a few other things to adjust but you kind of have to find what works for you. Alternatively you can rescale the the avatar to fit your body. Hope this helps and gl
I hope this man got ovr smooth tracking or whatever its called soon after this. Makes all that “jittery” shit go away when making fast movement or stomping.
Vrchat does a bit of filtering automatically by the time the movements reach the other players. If I did dancing or something and recorded it locally I would use the smoothing but I kinda like it being a little jerky. Great suggestion though I hear that software is mint.
Sorry I can't remember I think it was like "green" "hidden" "Forest" or something like that. There's a handful of worlds that use these assets as well. Hope you enjoyed the vid 👍
I think a lot might seem like this is a lot, but it really isn't! Once you understand the set-up it is so much easier. I am doing more than what is shown in the video and it definitely isn't this long of a process!
Very true, average setup should be much quicker. At the time of filming this video my motherboard was having a lot of problems and those issues take a large chunk of the time. It's definitely time for a new video.
It’s no issue! I think I mainly just wanted to highlight that it would take less time so people aren’t turned off of FBT! Your process is honestly fine and I’m sure it helps a lot of people :)! I had issues with my PC a few months ago and I know that computer issues can definitely have an affect on set-up time!
Full body tracking indeed isn't for the lazy, that's why it's called "full body" you do everything urself, not the game anymore, u control ur whole body now, so dance, get shot and fall down, fight ppl with vrchat fighting styles, interview ppl while useing ur real world environment with the in-game environment for extra immersion, there's a reason it can sometimes take long, all ik is full body tracking shouldn't be used just for sitting/laying down for ur entire play time stareing at a mirror and not really talking, just have fun with it, I wish I had a pc compatible with vr and wouldn't lag so bad I would get sick, and I wish I could get full body, I'm just a quest user, and I'm stuck with some weirdos, but hey, when I get this stuff hopefully in the future, I can enjoy myself with my easy setup.
Some of the things can get frustrating at times but if you're really into FBT and VR and are willing to take the time to set everything up pretty often, go for it.
Except usually I don't check for issues starting up everything, if I run into an issue later on I'm fine, just starts off gameplay a lot faster. Only thing i do is check if my lenses are dirty before starting up, I play a lot of Gorilla Tag alongside VRChat. But now it's much easier just having index with everything compatible, I don't run into many issues anymore
so for the legacy tracking is there a way to move individual balls? i want to set my trackers on my feet, but then its too low for the waist. Thank you for any answers in advance!
Sadly no 😞 thats an issue of avatar scaling. The ratio between your feet and hips and the ratio between the avatars feet and hips needs to be as close as possible for the most accurate IK. Some model bases like MMD have very long legs and it can be problematic. My advice would be to prioritize the accuracy of the feet over the hips so the virtual floor lines up better with your real floor. Hope this helps <3
