Windows firewall was blocking tftp traffic... (i assumed the network where the AP sits was considered a private network; it was public). Thanks for the video
Thanks for this. I've followed your steps but I no receive a message saying "Provide the migration license. Contact your administrator" I've not got Callamanger/webex. this device was purchased to use for a zoom lab.
Great explanations, kindly do u have any video on licenses part for routers and SDWAN. Even make video for Cisco ACI solution. Cisco ISE, Cisco SDWAN solution etc.I never subscribe any channel, but i did for your channel because it really gives me good information.
C9000 series has a single issue called Smart licensing aka call-home makes me sick always. And tier level of licensing where they put to higher Advantage license such simple things as HSRP and EIGRP is sick. And one stupid thing here which is according to Cisco feature, not a bug: if u forget to enable routing by "ip routing" and u check routing table it shpws u routes even it's not enabled.Lol
Honestly for the standard usage for SOHO or even for enterprise the best is C1000-24P-4X-L since it has 195Watts PoE+, 10Gb fiber uplinks and all silenent due to fasive cooling. Running standard IOS, not linux kernel based IOS XE which boots 10-15 mins. Thus switch has 15MB IOS and boots up in 1 min. For users as access switch and for CCTV it's great stuf which even supports statis and dynamic routing as OSPF, BGP limited way but for OSPF routing via transfer vlan in rhe stub it is great. It is running me at home with 3 years uptime with no single issue and interconnets CCTV, NAS, server with plenty VMs, dozens of machines incl. wireless.
Hi Sal, would you ever be willing to do a video on the main features of DNA, such as Software Image Management (SWIM), Full Flexible NetFlow, Embedded Event Manager (EEM), etc.? It would just be really helpful understanding what you get in DNA Essentials vs. DNA Advantage? Please and thank you, Sal! 🙏
I need your help. I followed your steps carefully, but in step 9, my folder contains only two .vmdk files and no .ios files. can you help me figure out why?
I've been confused for quite a while ago regarding the license usage (did some online research but the explanation is unclear to me) until I came across your videos that had cleared all my doubt. It's really an informative video, thank you very much.
What happens when you log in? As long as you have an active smartnet contact you should be able to download everything for that controller. If you want email me your cco id and the contract number. I can look into it.
Bro keep this channel for technical stuff because the RU-vid Algorithm will get confused if you post these kind of videos & your technical videos will not reach to as much people as you want.
Appreciate the advice. Maybe i should start another channel. This was one of those things that i had to deal with over the weekend. Figured it might help out others in a similar situation.
Agree. I found same advantage in cutting up cardboard, the narrower blade provides less friction on the sides due to a smaller contact surface, yet provides the necessary depth of cut fully extended to reach across the 2" foam board. Thank you.
Where I live the power grid is pretty old and any time there's a storm there's brownouts. I work from home and my computer is my livelihood. This video helped me make an informed decision on what kind of UPS to get. Thanks!
Sal, thank you very much for this video. I just want to ask if we can use the same subnet 192.168.1.0/24 for out of bound interface and Ap manager configurations on the same controller. For example 192.168.1.3 /24 for out bound interface and 192.168.1.4/24 for ap manger settings.
Quick question for you. What if I put a sensor in the sump pump room, and another one in the machine room, to get a better picture the radon levels in the different parts of the basement? Would I be able to connect two sensors to one hub?
No but you could view them both on the same app. Also it might be overkill. I would start with one and just move it around. I did this with mine. There was almost no difference in different parts of the basement. I did a few weeks in one spot and another few weeks in another.
Hi there, can I also migrate my KEM from CP-8800-V-KEM to CP-8800-V-KEM-3PC= ? Or maybe I don’t need to migrate KEM at all for using 3rd party phone switchboard? Thank you so much.
If you buy it legit though cisco certified resell program then dna is mandatory. Even if you buy it off gray market you may still need to call cisco and buy dna licensing if you need any of the features in dna essentials or advantage.
@@CiscoSal so, if I don´t need any features from DNA Advantage just only features of Network Advantage like OSPFv2-3, BGP I´m not forced to buy it? Thanks for ur reply
@@marcomadrid6762 If you buy it from a legit Cisco partner then you MUST buy a DNA license. If you buy it gray market aka "it fell off the back of a truck" you wont pay for DNA BUT, then the box is not supported by Cisco and you can not upgrade the IOS-XE code. Even if you buy it gray market, you may still get in the situation that you need DNA and end up having to buy it. For example, you might need DNA for Netflow. Here is the product matrix showing all the features in DNA. www.cisco.com/c/m/en_us/products/software/dna-subscription-switching/en-sw-sub-matrix-switching.html
