There are 2 things I can say about this review one thing that I think was missed and one that touches on something you said about a 100% completion time. One thing I feel was missed is a comment on the score for the game the music for a lot of the areas and levels was pretty damn good actually and definitley one of the better things for the game as a whole plus the music is probably one of the few things in the game that still feels like a Spyro game too by and large. also on the 100% completion time having watched a video of someone attempting it the completion run I watched was done in 7:38:48 so it can be done in 7 hours but that is if you nail perfect gameplay which this person did if you end up sucking at the game it will take double that time I believe

Ive also thought about how PTs "story" is related to depression and going into a downward spiral (relating my own experiences with depression) ergo a secondary title ive named myself, "Post Traumatic." I think the games puzzles and how the whole world was a part of solving its problems is a metaphore for the world finding a way to navigate depression, while also commenting on its affect on those who suffer from it and how it affects those around them. Its incredibly deep and quite a sight to behold and think about.

Ive been a fan of Oddworld since i was 5 years old. Ive played Exoddus countless times, and i always manage to rescue all 300 muds everytime. I was excited for Soulstorm in its dev cycle, and was severly let down by how much they changed and left out. I played it through once and didnt touch it again until a few days ago. Coming back to it with a more open mind, i can say im enjoying it a lot more, but i feel it lacks so much still and i hope that in the future they make theyre next game twice the flavor once again.

There is actually a reason why Exoddus feels like a continuation of Oddysee. After Oddysee Oddworld Inhabitans had only 9 months to develop a sequel. Since the head of the company knew that 9 months is far too short for a sequel as they had invisioned they settled for that Exoddus shouldn't be seen as a sequel of Oddysee and instead of a continuiation.

Definitely a game that could have used a few months for some QOL improvements but the development just didn't allow for it. Really needed some elbow grease and polish

I'd like to mention a few of your problems with Deluxe, like having a load between each level and the controls and performance not being as good, is mostly exclusive to the PS2 version. The Xbox's stick is still not as good as the GameCube's but it's definitely better than the PS2's, and the performance and loads are much better. The PS2 version is almost universally seen as the worse version.

I remember playing this as a kid (renting it from blockbuster haha) and I loved it! I never got to finish it cause my renting time ran out. But I always remembered the movie studio level (according to online its the 2nd level.). I actually bought all 3 ps2 games (this, 100 nights, and Unmasked) to relive that nostalgia.

Had this game as a kid, loved every minute of it but i could never find all ingredients for the sandwich in 2 levels, especially the swamp part.

Absolutely love this game from back when. The capture combat felt really awesome, and the exploration in this game raised me to enjoy exploration based games. I hope to someday create a game that uses the capture mechanic from this game, and Luigi's mansion. It feels untapped.

This one is probably my favorite of the three. Never got to finish Unmasked though. I remember during the Red Knight chase in the 2nd episode, I would always let Scooby and Shaggy get scared and see how fast I'd get ahead of him and how fast it would take for him to catch up hehe

My favorite thing is this game includes cartoon physics When running around and off a ledge scooby will flail in the air before falling, giving you time to jump and recover Another is a slide off the edge and you sit there for a short time in the air before falling

I will disagree with you on one aspect. TGhe voice acting in this game is DOGSHIT. The writing and the way the lines are delivered sometimes just feel wrong. Case in point Molluck: did those idiots burn down their own hideout. Slig: I know it sounds ridiculous but.....thats exactly what it looks like. Who talks like the slig in that scenario. Nobody. I was born in 98 and Rascal was the very first game i ever sat down to play solo and immediately got creeped out by the starting cut scene and the atmosphere of the game. I think if my parents saw me playing it, they wouldve stopped me, not so much from fear of emotional damage, but scarring my gaming memories and skills with the terrible gameplay.. my first rage was from this game and im pretty sure I quit on the first level😂 (Edit: That song on the first level lives in my mind forever though)

There is a holiday about dreams on March 11th if that door had to be based on a holiday it would probably be that one, also that book feels a little bit lazy and forced with it's writing. Because he literally creates another doll in the original film, so I wish they would do a little more research before making another book. Edit: Also, you forgot about the Kingdom Hearts games because they kind of fit in the timeline, too. the first visit to Halloweentown would have been right before the first film, and the second visit would have been after the film.

Damn, I was kinda hurt by your comments on Pumped & Primed and Million Monkeys because I sincerely thought that was the canon one, at least they had a moving story with the original cast. While imo Ape Escape 2 has a smoother gameplay than 1 and not going crazy as to add transformation in 3, I only cared about the OG cast on 1. Playing the story of Pumped & Primed with my younger bro was one of the best times in my gaming experience. I also got a copy of Million Monkeys though I'm not in Japan, and it was a blast! Mainly because I get to play as the OG cast! I think that was the problem with Ape Escape series. I only cared about the OG cast, why even bother introducing Jimmy, Kei, or Yumi. I also think it was a bad decision on them not releasing Million Monkeys outside Japan. I mean okay let's not confuse ppl by releasing 2 games at once, but then? Why do they not release it at all? I'm itching to translate Million Monkeys, but for that I'd need to know how ppl can actually integrate it into the game, I'm not a technical person

i love the music, atmosphere, story, voice acting and stuff. the issue for me is that the camera in the game and the controlling of the characters are both fairly stiff.
