The RU-vid channel of Finnish filmmaker Juho "John" Fossi. My passion is in creating suspenseful horror and thriller films. My previous short films have been shown in film festivals like Fantastic Fest, Bucheon international Fantastic Film Festival, Motel X, Nightmares Film Festival, Telluride Horror Show & Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival among others. My work is mainly intended for the international audience and I'm open to work propositions in genre films and also interested in different kind of collaborations between fellow horror filmmakers. I will be adding behind-the-scenes material, new shorts etc. every once in a while. Please subscribe to my channel and help me create more horror short films and maybe even a feature-length horror movie in the near future!
As a filmmaker my job is to raise questions, not give definite answers to them. I can only hope my films get people to take a deep look at themselves and think.
The brilliant simplicity and visceral impact of this just blows my mind. In the past years, I have watched hundreds of short films on YT, but I don't remember anything matching the originality of even just the first two films I've seen from you (this one and "Expectancy"). Particularly the ending is so wonderfully grim and elegant at the same time.
Seriously how have you not got more followers and recognition for your brilliant films??! You have very original ideas and I am a very big fan of your work!! Keep going and don’t ever stop what you’re passionate about. Perseverance and belief in yourself is all you need and one day it will all change for you and it will have paid off. Bravo!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'll certainly do my best to keep making more films. Hoping to get an agent or someone to notice my films. The financing part is very hard for my kind of films but you never know, maybe they'll agree with you soon enough. Feedback like yours most definitely helps me to keep going, thanks!
Wow, that was absolutely brilliant! From start to finish, the film was a true masterpiece, with an ending that left me in awe. The originality of the storyline stood out, offering a deeply moving yet challenging narrative. It was bold of you to tackle such a sensitive subject, and you handled it with grace. I’ve seen countless short horror films, but I’ve never come across anything quite like this. I’ll definitely be sharing it with friends and family. I’m genuinely surprised it hasn’t received more views and recognition - it truly deserves it. Bravo!
Thank you so much, your words really mean a lot! The film had a fairly good festival run but I guess it was too dark or bloody for getting other kind of distribution. Hopefully it finds an audience here. Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely LOVED this movie. very original and the double twist ending was perfect. your shot selection is impeccable; please keep up the great work...
Glad to hear, especially from someone who knows what he's talking about. I remember one night waking up with a hand print on my chest with no idea where that came from. Also, the feeling of someone standing beside my bed in the pitch dark still gives me the chills...
@@fossifilms That's scary having a hand print on your chest from God knows what 😲 I remember one night having a creature that looked like the devil emerging from the wall and grabbing me, as I struggled to awake from it. The most common thing I had too was the feeling that someone was standing by me in bed 😬
