This is the only video I could find where the beautiful violin part (1:10) starts sombre (1:45) then progresses to the fucking epic choir. The only thing missing is the Penetrator's badass exertions. Thank you.
for the guy name penetrator and holding a long thin sword i expect him to stab me alot or having rapier-like moveset but turn out he slash more than he thrust....should have change his name
You're welcome. I'd love to do more but unfortunately time is short and the remaining boss fights are particularly tricky and lengthy to get just right. I may try to do something different that either takes less effort or is less demanding.
Wow there is so much of this song I've never heard until now despite how much I adore it. Thank you so much for making this! Demon's Souls and its remake is truly a masterpiece in my opinion.
It actually bothered me too. The problem is, at the time I didn't even realize or I didn't get enough good attempts, so I just ended up releasing it the way it was. Unfortunately now that I have a full time job time for these is completely gone, 0, none. I would like to finish doing them, but little I play now I do play on PC and unfortunately I would need to relearn how to play Demon's Souls in a decent enough way to actually be able to do all of this. Not saying it's impossible, but it probably won't happen and it does, I have no idea when it will. Edit: also, when the heck did I get 20k views?
Apparently it is exclusive to the game and is not on the official ost. I think you just need to survive long enough for it to eventually play or perhaps get his health down to a certain point.
So sorry I'm, so late in replying. All those tracks are simply the in game version of the OST. If you play the game without voices and VFX, this is the result. You just need to turn them off in the settings, and then run around the boss fight for 10 minutes.
Pretty much yeah. Remove voices and VFX and run around the arena. Also yes, the boss health bar does influence which part of the OST is played, that is the reason why often people complain about me killing a boss too quickly or skipping a phase too quickly (they are right by the way). It's because it also skips part of the track. Ideally you would have to avoid being close to certain attacks (they "warp" the audio, like the Tower Knight magic spear throw), deal damage constantly and at the right pace (not OP overkill spells and attacks), do it the first try to include the cutscene (meaning back & restore all the time) and find the right time to kill the boss. Some bosses you can kill at 10 minutes, some you can't. This is because for some tracks the final part that triggers after you kill the boss is seamless, in others it needs to be timed right, which depending on the boss can be easier or harder. It's tricky, and I didn't actually follow all those rules in most (any?) track. But that's how you would do it. Or data mine the game.
Its amazing how eerie the ost is at the beginning after the intro, It sound holy but tainted definitely the perfect theme for a fallen saint. then it fully transition to Garl's theme when you engage him. Perfect! Better than the original's monotonous pacing.
I had a little fun with the classic version of this song, in case anyone is interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nLyAAoWg1_8.html
the boss it´self has room for improvement but combined with the weather and the overall mood this theme really hits definitively an improvement from the classic, that one really just felt very sleepy
3:55 and that´s were the interesting part begins, the segment no one ever knows about until they keep running around the arena like a maniac also how about Fools Idol
It will happen, I want to finish this project at least, I went from school to work and got from busy to busier, so yeah that doesn't exactly help. But I started it so I would like to at least finish, especially considering how many people ended up viewing these videos.
@@RanmaSyaoranSaotome that goes for all the songs as far as I have seen not all of them have such large portions missing as Flamelurker but there usually is a none choir variant of the main melody for almost every song I noticed
Unrelated to the music what I love is how most bosses in these games don't have animations for turning around after an attack so they just ice skate around to face you.
If you want the ideal answer... yeah. If you want the honest one: sorry to disappoint. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of free time and to do those just right a lot of effort is required, so I doubt I'll invest the time do it again. Maybe if Demons Souls comes to PC I'll think about it. Truly sorry!
He dodges a lot yeah, but for this it's actually better this way, avoiding audio dips while staying close to him is impossible, regardless of your dodges. Also, he's weak to magic. You can almost guarantee a hit if you cast after he attacks, if he's just walking around or staying still he will most likely dodge. But you probably already know all of this lol.
@@BlueLynxes Ahaha, yeah, i am a god player at demon souls and definetly not some rando that likes the ost without having played the game, thats absolutelly not me (;;;・_・)
0:40 Does Penetrator REALLY take your ENTIRE STAMINA BAR if you block with a shield?! 0___0 If so, then that's TERRIFYING! Screw Knight Slayer Tsorig, Penetrator might slay HIM! XD
Looks like all tracks loop almost randomly in game, and some parts of choir and instruments just disappear. I don't quite get the reason for cutting and mixing audio that way, a question for their sound engineers:-/
Some of the tracks seem to be somewhat random, but some others usually play different segments of the music depending on how much of their health is left(penetrator, allant, astrea) or your position( leechmonger for example only plays a small segment of the ost if you stay on the scaffolding)
@@yab3146 as far as I´ve seen now, almost every soundtrack has two segments, a lesser and a more intense one that is triggered depending on various factors, most often when the boss looses 50& health or whether or not you go all the way down to Leechmonger, etc. and every second segment (and some first segments ) also have an alternative version without Choir and a somewhat different instrumentation, these two alternate while looping, though it often seems that the more intense one always plays first when transitioning
I know this has been brought up, but you went to phase 2 too early. I am pretty certain (including the intro cinematic portion), there's approximately 2 minutes and 50(ish) seconds before it loops back to the beginning of the fight. You started phase 2's section right around 1:20 (the moment you dropped his health near half, it focused on finishing a segment from P1 before automatically going to P2 since his hp was already so close to half) So maybe there's a way to time it there. Phase 2's section in comparison is a lot shorter. It only goes from 1:28 to 2:38 before looping the OST. Sadly, I think Penetrator has one of the shorter OSTs, since if I'm looking at this correctly, it would only be about 4 minutes + finishing notes via his death, but i'm sure i'm forgetting one part. I uploaded the Full OST on my channel if you're interested. Wont post it here like a pest.
Yes I'm aware and I re recorded it, I just need to find the file and upload it, this time I depleted his health constantly instead of removing all his health in one go.
This boss made me feel like I was fighting Blood starved beast due to how intense the string instruments were Yea it's much less difficult but all my hair stood hearing it while fighting
