I have had an interest in mechanical organs for a long time and back in 2004 I discovered the John Smith plans to make your own busker which I have done. Since then John has published several further plans the latest of which is a midi controlled system. This has taught me how this system wortks and I have now used the information to make a number of organs of varying sizes which can be seen here.
I am able to make midi controlled hand turned busker style organs to order, if you would like more information or a price please email me. I hope to set up a website eventually to market them properly.
I have made my own marble runs after being inspired by many videos on here and visting the House of Marbles in Devon UK who have four very impressive marble runs by Alex Schmidt icluding possibly the largest run in the world using snooker balls and taking up an entire wall.
Hi, I'm sorry this particular one was sold many many years ago. However I do make organs myself now and am happy to take commissions of any design. Have a look on Facebook for Serenade Organs to see my work. Email is serenadeorgans@gmail.com. Thanks Kevyn.
That is brilliant. Seeing this makes me want to do the same but although I know a lot about cinema organs I wouldn`t know where to even begin with this. Hats off to you.
Thanks!! I'd always wanted something like this but they are too expensive! Have a look at my latest work on my new channel Serenade Organs. I've have progressed with my knowledge and construction!
As the OP hasn't answered any questions, so I'll have a go: Matt Seymour. Most accept any size of steam engine size down to Mamods, Marklins and Wilscos, etc. Most can be found on eBay, especially the Wilescos as the factory sells directly through it. Strake750. There are many sellers of new and used machines in the UK such as: Steam Workshop Station Road Steam Vintage Vehicles Berrybrook Steam Maxitrak Rusty Relics Burrel facebook.com/groups/minaturesteamforsale/?ref=bookmarks and those are just the ones I have on my bookmarks Aaron luckini. See above.
I am building a Topsy 3 and I saw your video and I was wondering if I could get some info and maybe pictures of your solenoid operated celeste damper and your drum beaters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
Thank you! I get a great deal of pleasure from making organs. Have a look at my new Facebook page for Voller Organs to see the latest project in the workshop, a 48 key unit for a US client. facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006285345375
It is the Steam Traction World DCC kit in Road Loco form from the first batch they ran. They are now running a new batch of engines available as this or the Scenic Showmans. Takes about three years to build and is a really superb powerful smooth engine.
I don't know much about steam engines, but I love watching your videos. Being someone who likes to build things, particularly mechanical things, I appreciate the time and effort you have put into your project. It's gorgeous as well!
If I can build one then anyone can, get on to Steam Traction World and order one, they're just about to start a rerun of this model and also the SCC Road Loco. You only live once.....
