I went in there about a fortnight before it burnt down. Shame that it was vandalised and then set alight. It was an incredible explore at the time, with the wax work train ride in the basement. "Dungeons" I believe it was called.
It wasn't as noisy with cars when we were growing up. My granddad had an allotment on land between the two railway bridges during WW two. One of my friends broke his leg using the rope swing, I was never brave enough to try it. The 'woods' on the other side of the road from the river was a favourite place for gathering wood for the bonfire come November and we would drag it back past Forge Row where my Taid and Auntie and Uncle lived. Took a walk few weeks back. Behind caego and Berse. And went to have a look at the river at about the point to two rail lines met. Totally agree. Unrecognisable compared to when I used to play as a kid. Enjoyed the photos 👍
