3k plus tax job plus the charges from the other two shops that screwed them up. I feel their pain I had a similar situation but it was I who drove on a stuck caliper and burned my system up. It cost plenty to fix.
Probably smoked the wheel bearings as well. In the next six months, they'll probably take the car to someone else and blame you guys for the bad bearings. That's how it always goes.
I’m planning on installing this MultiPro power steps on my AT4 truck, any idea where I can buy it from? And would it be hard to connect it to the battery and to integrate it to the system?
I work for a Chevy Dealer and this one chick had her new 22 Vette wrapped in Pink and went and had l her calipers painted to match by another shop. Long story short after they did the calipers the brake light and traction control lights were on it ends up when they removed the calipers to repaint them when they reinstalled her rear calipers upside down(were put on the wrong sides Left being on Right and vice versa) and couldn't properly bleed the air out of them or figure out why . Some people just have no business working on cars SMMFH
@@4feathers I've also seen aftermarket braided hose lines which look cool. But again fucking with the brakes on a machine like that is a fast way to meet god

@anthonyo4038 Those braided lines are actually used for racing and are higher psi burst rated than rubber but I get your point. If you don't know what your doing and don't have them properly torqued and bled yeah you or others on the road could be meeting their maker
Man this video was a God send for me! I have a Rav4 Hybrid that was having the exact same problem. replaced the airbox with a non-factory airbox and it ran rough and threw codes P0101 and P0100-64. Replace the box with an OEM airbox and the code has not showed up and my mpgs have gone up from 35mpg to 44mpg.
The caliber probably still good how is they melted? If so, change the rubber boot. Did you even try to push them back in? are they both stuck? Is it because the part didn’t come from y’all? Got to get the mark up 😢
The right side caliper was leaking because it was overextended since the customer had driving around with the brakes on for so long they had smoked the pads and they were metal on metal and the Pistons were all the way out and leaking when it came in the left side caliper wouldn't compress even with the bleeder open We were able to force it in but it was far from moving easy as it should. We do not rebuild calipers unless they are worth doing. Somebody had tried adjusting the brake pedal and it wasn't coming back far enough to release the brakes.
It would cost more money to rebuild a caliper in the shop with parts and labor versus just replacing with a reman or used one. Same goes for resurfacing rotors.
If you rebuild the caliper yourself at home, it's cheep, but not for a shop to do. They don't have the time for it. Even though it's really really easy
It won’t fly off if you put it where the hood latch is. Your hood just won’t close when you go to close it. Done it plenty of times and haven’t had an issue
