Thanks for sharing the presentations! Question for Tom: the interference of the input routes for recipes with multiple ingredients seems to be the same problem as type interference in the compilation of computer programs. Did you consider implementing the Dalas-Hindley-Milner algorithm to deduce the input types at each node and detect ambiguities?

I don't know those kind of algorithm and it seems that I don't have the skills to understand them from the different sources that I have found. But to explain with my words : Step 0 - If an assembly machine (A.M) has no parents, I skip and assume it can produce at 100% capacity Step 1 - Recursively attributing to each A.M. child nodes the item of the recipe produced item Step 2 - Recursively attributing to each single ingredient input A.M. parent nodes the recipe required item Step 3 - The other A.M. check if they have all the required ingredients by looking recursively each one of their children Step 4 - If not everything is provided, I recursively attribute the parents with no purpose the missing items Step 5 - If all parents have some sort of purpose already, I assume that the A.M. can't produce and that the B.P. is wrong To know if this is bug-proof would require some extended testing, but I think that it can never be right because the B.P. creator could always have something different in mind. But to know that there is an existing reliable algorithm would have saved me a lot of time as long as I can understand it!

what generation settings did you use to get the islands like that? island just generates one island then ocean, and normal map set to island just makes 3 or 5 large islands then ocean.
@@KenReid Actually, the original is played with a Nyckelharpa, not a violin. Some parts of the composition have violin solo, but not the part you just played. You played the Nyckelharpa solo part of the composition.
@@KenReid I usually use my voice to compensate for my guitar playing haha... Not that I'm bad at guitar, I just never was brave enough to get into more technical stuff like this. But I'm trying to get better with my instrumental skills. I really love music from WoW... They always do such a fantastic job. So it's pretty motivating!
You should record a backing track of fitting chord progression and the backing melody and do a guitar only cover. Would be amazing. Actually, I think I might do it, just for myself, unless someone else is as interested as I.
