The best punch in boxing is missing from this game; THE JAB. It's like the CPU boxers have to be sucked into close quarters before they can punch, like they're magnetised. So they're unable to throw a straight jab from distance. Without the ability to catch your opponent coming in with a straight jab and stop him (or her) in their tracks, fighters can just walk right in without any deterrent. Seems like you cant keep your opponent at the end of your jab, or jab and move. CPU fights seem to be slugfest after slugfest, there's no boxing, no evident difference in fighting styles. They're also programmed to hit the canvas at the slightest touch. This fight in real life would go the distance as they both had sound chins and only decent power for heavyweights, so this is in no way a simulation of the fight if it happened in real life. Steel city defiantly need to add a CPU Fighter Toughness Slider to the settings because it seems like every fighter's toughness has been dialled down to zero. Thanks for the upload.
That's just bs. He's more skilled than anyone in Ali's era except for Ali and at the end of Ali's era, Larry Holmes. And he's bigger and heavier by far than all of them. Plus has a chin, has great recovery, has mental strength, has heart, has character, has confidence, has great boxing iq, has a great gas tank, has good power, incredible speed and mobility for his size, and is great with the mind games. He's 100% a contender, but has a great chance of beating all of them. I wouldn't think he'd have a career play out in that era without a defeat. But at his best he could beat them all. And even if he suffered a defeat or two, he'd still have beat most of them and maybe even avenged a given lose, and he'd have held the heavyweight title. Same as in the 90's era.
The movement is getting better. They just need to programme the correct fighting styles to the boxers. I.e. Outside Boxer: Staying on the outside, throwing jabs and straights. Brawler: Coming in throwing hooks, uppercuts and bodyshots etc. I think the Dev's should assign the diagonal slip to brawlers and swarmers (CPU AI) in the game offline and not to outside fighters. The outside boxers (CPU AI) should uses their feet, head slips plus movement to circle their opponent. They should also add sliders offline so the player can adjust the amount of punches, movement, power etc to the boxers in the game (not just the CAB) and save their adjustments.
