Fun times. That CP engine is mighty powerful. Between the little logging express engine and the rocket shay, there won’t be any excuse for failing to get to the mill on time.
That CP engine was originally a " Southern RR " Aster Mikado in green livery. The new owner placed a Royal Hudson 2860 comfort cab on it, plus some other details, and painted it black and thus turned it into a Canadian version Class P-2-g Mikado ( Built 1940 )( Crafty Kitbash ) Thanks for watching and comment. The CP coaches are also his own builds.
How can I buy one of the G-Scale, ALCO, Dl-35 Diesels? Awesome model Like to build one in 2.5" scale, need the g-scale model for measurements, prefer unpainted. Thank you
Thank you for your interest in this model. There were only four custom hand built units made ( now all painted ) and they are spread around Canada and the USA. You might have to search Alco files to get the measurements which you require. I hope that one day I will be able to see your build on YT.
That 9F is alcohol fired and has a wonderful natural stack talk. The 0-6-0 Switcher is Butane Fired and using a Summerlands Chuff Pipe, but it is fun to run, and it does sound quite strong. Thanks for watching and comment.
Hi ya. Brilliant running session. Love the steam. Also the US locos and rolling stock. Nice one guys. Thank you for showing us. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Yes, it is a temporary track and it is set up at various venues to promote the hobby of Garden Trains. We are fortunate to have a club member who allows us to set the track up for the summer season in this covered area and GVGRC members are permitted to run on it Wednesday To Sunday. Thank you for watching.
Always good to hear from you in the comments section. World weather seems to now be problematic everywhere. Hope you eventually get some good train running weather.
You are absolutely correct. I do have have it pulling more appropriate coaches in the following video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s0cq28Hnhv8.html ) but sometimes I change things just for color and variety. This prototype ran about 118 years ago at a record speed of 160 KPH with passenger coaches and it was made for that type of service. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment.
Thank you for watching. Always fun to get together and run steam trains. I find that the alcohol fired engines seem to have better stack talk than the butane fired units.
Some of your local hobby /train shops can give you information or online search for live steam trains for online stores and the secondary market. Hope that your search finds a lot of good stuff.
Looks like great fun. I wonder if there is more than one station on the railroad or did it get changed at some point? Doesn’t look the same as in some of your other videos.
David made two very beautiful train stations on his 3D Printer. One for when he runs his British engines and also the Canadian Pacific station for times when he is running his North American Locomotives and rolling stock. Thanks for watching and noticing.
Yes it was a runaway. It was pulling a long freight and when some couplers disconnected the locomotive thus had too much steam on the regulator, causing it to go at great speed. It was stopped and all ended well. Thanks for watching the video.
Most open houses are prepared with some type of cover in case of rain, or the visitors wait in their cars until the rain stops. Sometimes the event has to be cancelled if the weather is very bad. Thanks for watching.
Love that fabulous Jazz combo and the layout, Pennsy fan myself; But 1/32 is the scale for me. Very good scenery. Put some cars behind that loco and here it roar. By the way David is right the whistle should be slightly angled from the boiler about 30°. Cheers, Simon
At 1/29 scale it is not too far off gauge one but it does make a difference . Maybe check out my engine in the following video with a load. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_jyp1pwLZ60.html Thanks for watching.
