hey hey .. im 26, from Toronto. I own a small beauty boutique , and a small product based e commerce business, this is where i want to share my lifestyle and journey xo
Good for you for having an idea and trying it out even if it didn’t work! I love that you showed the reality of business. It’s all trial and error and that’s okay 😊. Do you have an online store for your products? Would love to see!! ❤
Hi, Kassandra. Thank you for this video! Lots of great tips. I especially like the last two tips - they seem to go hand in hand. I’m documenting my journey of starting my business (on my channel, just starting!) and I’m really enjoying the process and learning as I go. It’s empowering! I love to see others living out there dreams and I look forward to watching more of your story! I subscribed! Thanks again! ❤
If you use oils and butters in the hair then you should always wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo (I would recommend sulfates unless you are allergic) to break down and lift the oil and butter off the hair and scalp and then follow up with a moisturing shampoo particularly one designed for your hair type (curly, coily, wavy, straight etc.). Then follow up with stylers. Depending on how much you sweat/how much product you use, you may want to wash your hair more often (I typically go for twice a week).
after you shampoo you should condition the hair and then follow up with stylers. You may also benefit from periodic protein treatments (those typically help to define the curls).

@@KassandraaJames ok thank you! And how long are those lash courses? I want to start learning but all the courses I have been seeing are either 1 or 2 days long and I’m not sure if I will be able to grasp the info that quickly

If your looking to be certified we have a 5 day lash course for 1800$ at the beauty kartel here in courtice about 45 minutes from Toronto, its a 5 day fundamentals, business info and lashing techniques, health and safety all in one trained by myself at our store front location 2 Glenabbey Drive ! We also do a free refresher course 3 months after the course to refresh! Any questions girl or if your interested email us at thebeautykartel@gmail.com
Tiera Shaneè for the past 6 months i dont prime i only cleanse ! Primers are usually alcohol /therefore dry the lashes , and lashes like moisture to adhere correctly so it makes the world of a difference to drop primer !
LIFE OF THE BEAUTY KARTEL I don’t use primer but was just wondering. I’m totally with you on the alcohol part which is why I wanted to know what you primed with or showed in this video. Thanks 😊
Hi, i super appreciate you promoting only handmade fans. Just to say, easy fan lashes cannot wrap the NL , weight cannot be charted, the same. Keeping true artists real. There is no such thing as a premade artist. Thank you from Canada.
Also, make sure you check your state requirements BEFORE you invest in the lash course. Some (MOST) states require you to have an esthetician or cosmetology license to be able to apply lashes.
Could you pleaseeee help me decide on a reputable lash course or academy In Tennessee or Ga? I know you’re in Canada, just wondering if you know of day. Do you recommend Xtreme Lash?
Hi Kassandra, love your video! ❤️Thanks for sharing how you started your new career. I believe most of the states require you to have esthetician or cosmetologist license to do eyelashes. Did you go to esthetician or cosmetology school? Hope to hearing your response soon :)
What advice do you have for someone straight out of high school that doesn’t have the means to work from home when starting out? Is traveling a good idea?
Tierany Rivers but my advice would be to only use mobile as a stepping stool then maybe rent a chair in a local salon ! Then move up to maybe your own !!
How do you know if the class you're interested in taken is a good class? What are things I should research to be sure the curriculum of the class meets all the things you spoke about in your "How to start your very own Lash Business."
Sienna Fleming hey babe! So definitely make sure they cover the legal aspects, health and safety, business steps for success, the kit should be pretty stocked with everything needed, the manual should be extensive and educational, and lastly you should be learning fills, removals, proper sanitation between clients, lashing procedures, and troubleshooting for difficult lashing situations! At least thats what my course covers! So i hope that helps !
THE BEAUTY KARTEL Hey! Thank you so much for responding. That helps me out a lot. I’ve been looking at a few different classes by a few different lash technicians, and I want to make sure I’m getting the information I need to be successful before I made a decision.
THE BEAUTY KARTEL if you weren’t so far I’d take your class. But I don’t live in Canada. But I subscribed so I’ll just get your pearls of wisdom from here! Thank you for sharing!
