The reason I ask because the thing I don't like about paypal is the hold period. It could be up to 90 days or longer for paypal to release your funds and sometimes you need your money much sooner.

Thank you for this video, but this is not exactly what I asked. :) I was wondering if adding a "clickable" button on top of the image is possible when you are "inside" the article's "edit mode"/"manage post mode." I can add images or buttons between paragraphs, but I cannot overlap pictures with the buttons. Add the moment I designed the image/banner with the button in my design program and made the image "clickable," but I would like to use the "native" Wix button on the image, not just "draw it". Because with mobile version it looks bad.

Hi Maciej, in this video we are using the Wix Editor. But Wix also offers another design platform to build your website called Wix ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence). These two platforms look different to each other and offer different options. If you are using Wix ADI you do have the option to switch Wix Editor. To do that, simply follow the steps here: websitewiz.co/how-to-change-from-wix-adi-to-wix-editor/ Hope this helps!

BEWARE! If you click on the "save 50% off a premium membership" to save money, the NEW membership (assigned to the existing site) will RENEW ON THAT DAY. I accidentally LOST 5 MONTHS OF SUBSCRIPTION because the "new plan" RESTARTED the calendar and chopped off the end of my old plan. Pay attention. This is a HUGE SCAM that they don't run the subscriptions sequentially and instead allow one plan to accelerate the expiration date of the existing plan!!! If this happens to you immediately CANCEL (within 14 days) the plan you just purchased and then reassign your existing premium plan to your site again.
@websitewiz
@websitewiz Месяц назад
Hi Kathleen, thank you so much for mentioning this. We suggest using the technique shown in the video when there's only about a month to go on your subscription for this reason. Wix does refund the remaining part of your subscription, but as prices go up, it would be better keeping as much of the subscription as possible at any old rates, as you've mentioned. Thanks again and good luck on your website journey! 😃
@CoupleScienceWorks
@CoupleScienceWorks 22 дня назад
@@websitewiz But everytime you click on that save 50% offer, you're increasing the total cost of your subscription- instead of staying locked in to your original rate. So yes, you pay half but you pay half of a larger total price. It's a racket.
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 20 дней назад
@@CoupleScienceWorks Hi Kathleen, yes, as we show in the video, when you increase to a higher plan you get more features and that costs you more. But you still pay LESS than you would if you stayed locked into your original, lower plan, at full price. So in the end you pay less, not more. Now, if years later, you are on a plan that is higher in cost at 50%, than your original plan at 100%, then as we mentioned in the video, you can choose to downgrade your plan back to the original one, if you're not now using the features of the higher plan. Hope this helps!

Hi Rocky, thank you for your suggestions. If you have pasted the code into your web page and the button is not showing up, that could mean there is an error in the code. Even adding an extra period, or comma etc. will break the coding so that the button won't work. Hope this helps!

how do i add a redirect url for a smart button?
@websitewiz
@websitewiz Месяц назад
Hi Sonika, thanks for your question. It's not easy to set up a redirection for this particular button. The 'Smart' button requires coding to make that work. So, the easiest way to do this would be to use another button. One that includes a redirection option as part of setting up the button in the first place. You can do this easily using PayPal's 'Buy Now' or 'Add to Cart' buttons. These buttons include a field for a redirection page as part of set up. These buttons are located on the same page as the ‘Smart’ button of your PayPal account, as shown in the video. Please note, if you use the 'Add to Cart' button, there is also a ‘View Cart’ button, which you would place in the header of your site too, which allows your customer to view their shopping cart while they’re shopping. Make sure to include this on your site too. We've created a video on the 'Add to Cart' button which you can check out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-thWrCUYFs.html This is the easiest way we have found to redirect a customer to another page after purchase. This video is now out of date with Paypal changing their design and options. They literally are trying to confuse you now with changing the names of everything. Can you update this video or do you have an updated video?
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 2 месяца назад
Hi Brian, thank you for your feedback! We understand that PayPal has recently updated their design and options, which can be quite confusing. In the meantime, here are a few key updates to help you navigate the new PayPal interface: *Updated Navigation:* PayPal has reorganized some of their menu options. You can find the button creation options under "Tools" > "All Tools" > "PayPal Buttons". *Shipping Calculator:* The shipping settings can be accessed via "Account Settings" > "Shipping" under "Products and Services". *Button Customization:* When creating or editing buttons, make sure to use the updated form fields, including the weight parameter for shipping calculations. This is our only video on this subject of 'Add to Cart' buttons, and unfortunately we are not planning on creating an update in the near future. For more detailed instructions in the meantime, you can check PayPal's official help page and their community forums: www.paypal-community.com/t5/PayPal-Community/ct-p/en. Hope this helps!

i have paypal business account i can not find pay with card button on my payment page that appears to my guests how to add it i use it on Bokun reservation system so am losing guests who do not have pay account to pay for my products
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 2 месяца назад
Hi, thanks for your question. To add the 'Pay with Card' button on your PayPal Business account's payment page, especially when using it with a booking system like Bokun, follow these steps: *1. Check PayPal Account Settings* · Log in to your PayPal Business account. · Go to 'Account Settings' or 'Profile Settings'. · Under 'Website payments', ensure that the 'PayPal Account Optional' is enabled. This option allows guests to pay with a credit or debit card without having to create a PayPal account. *2. Ensure Your PayPal Integration is Correct* · Verify that your integration with Bokun is set up to support both PayPal and card payments. This often involves checking the API settings or the integration configuration in Bokun. · Bokun should have a setting where you can specify payment methods, including allowing card payments via PayPal. *3. Customize PayPal Checkout Experience* · Log in to your PayPal account and navigate to 'PayPal Buttons'. · Choose the button type you need (like 'Buy Now' or 'Pay Now'). · Customize the button to ensure that the 'Debit or Credit Card' option is available for guests who don’t have a PayPal account. *4. Check Country Restrictions* · Ensure there are no country-specific restrictions that might be hiding the card payment option. PayPal sometimes restricts certain features based on the user's country. *5. Contact Bokun Support* · If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Bokun's support team. They can provide guidance specific to their system and ensure that your PayPal integration is configured correctly to display the card payment option. *6. Update Your Website* · Ensure your website’s payment page reflects the changes. Sometimes, the issue might be related to the caching of old settings. Clear your cache or update the settings in your CMS (Content Management System) or website builder. *STEP BY STEP GUIDE* *1. Enable Guest Checkout in PayPal* · Log into your PayPal Business account. · Go to 'Account Settings'. · Under 'Payment Preferences', ensure that 'PayPal Account Optional' is turned on. *2. Verify PayPal Integration with Bokun* · Log in to your Bokun account. · Navigate to 'Sales tools' and then to 'Payment Gateways'. · Ensure that your PayPal integration is properly configured to accept credit card payments. · If there is an option to enable or disable certain payment methods, make sure that credit card payments are enabled. *3. Create or Update Your PayPal Button* · In your PayPal account, go to 'Tools' and then 'All Tools'. · Select 'PayPal Buttons' and create a new button. · During the setup process, ensure that the button is configured to accept credit card payments. · Copy the HTML code provided by PayPal and update your Bokun payment page with this code. *4. Test the Payment Page* · After making these changes, test your payment page using an incognito window or a different browser. · Verify that the 'Pay with Card' option appears and functions correctly. *5. Contact Support* · If the issue persists, contact PayPal support to ensure there are no account-specific issues. · Contact Bokun support for assistance with integrating PayPal correctly on their platform. Hope this helps!

Hi Mohammad, thanks for your question. *Disclaimer* We do not know enough about your business to give you specific advice. As such, we can only give you general information and this comment does not contain business or financial advice. The information is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. This comment and its materials are not intended to be used as a substitute for advice from your professional or licensed business or financial representative. Always seek the advice of your own licensed business or financial adviser or other qualified business or financial provider for any advice you need regarding any business or financial matters. If the conversion fees are significant and you have a global customer base, moving to USD might make sense. Otherwise, staying with GBP could be more beneficial if most of your customers are UK-based. *1. Keep Store Currency in GBP* *Pros:* - Consistency for UK-based customers. - Easier accounting if your business is UK-based. - No conversion fees for transactions made in GBP. *Cons:* - International customers may see fluctuating prices due to conversion rates. - PayPal may charge conversion fees when converting GBP to USD during the transaction processing. *2. Switch Store Currency to USD:* *Pros:* - Aligns directly with PayPal’s preferred currency, potentially reducing conversion fees. - Simplifies the pricing structure for international customers. *Cons:* - UK customers will see prices in USD, which might be less convenient. - Potential confusion or dissatisfaction among local customers due to currency differences. *Evaluate Your Customer Base:* If the majority of your customers are from the UK, keeping GBP might be more customer-friendly. If you have a significant international customer base, switching to USD might reduce transaction costs. *PayPal Fees:* Check PayPal's fee structure for currency conversion and consider how significant these fees are for your business. *Customer Experience:* Think about what provides the best experience for your customers. Consistency and simplicity often lead to higher satisfaction. *Conclusion* Balance the ease of transactions (aligning with PayPal's USD preference) against the customer convenience of seeing prices in their local or familiar currency. If the conversion fees are significant and you have a global customer base, moving to USD might make sense. Otherwise, staying with GBP could be more beneficial if most of your customers are UK-based. Hope this helps!

@websitewiz

Hi Nguyen, the free Wix domain (not custom domain) lasts as long as you have an account with them. It's basically 'free forever'. No, you won't get a custom domain name as part of a free account. If you want a customised domain name this is renewed every 1-, 2-, or 3- years, depending on your preference. If you choose a premium paid plan, a custom domain is included for the first year free of charge, if you choose a yearly premium plan. Hope this helps!

Question: Do same buttons work in sandbox and live environment or do you need to recreate these buttons once you switch to live?
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 3 месяца назад
Hi Tibor, yes, PayPal buttons in sandbox mode work the same way as they do in live mode, but without real deposits and withdrawals. The PayPal Sandbox is a testing environment that is similar to the live PayPal production environment. If you create a "Add to Cart" button in sandbox mode, users can click the button, go through the PayPal login and payment process, and see a confirmation of the payment. However, since it’s in sandbox mode, no actual funds are transferred between accounts. Once you have thoroughly tested your PayPal integration in sandbox mode and are confident that it works correctly, you can switch to live mode. Simply replace the sandbox API credentials with live API credentials, and your same PayPal button will start processing real transactions. Hope this helps!

Hi Mademoiselle Authentique, thanks for your feedback. We're so glad you found the video helpful 💜 With regards to drop shipping, we wouldn't recommend using standalone PayPal buttons as the functionality to integrate with the process of drop shipping is inadequate. If your customer pays using this button, it will not automatically notify the manufacturer / shipper to send the product. This would need to be managed manually. For drop shipping we would recommend integrating with a dynamic, fully integrated and functional PayPal (or other) shopping cart for that type of website. Using these buttons would cost more time and effort than you would save in the long run. Hope this helps and we wish you lots of success with your drop shipping business!

Hello thanks for this How can i know checkout in sandbox Paypal account through express
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 5 месяцев назад
Hi Salaudeen, thanks for your question! To determine if your PayPal account is in Sandbox mode, you can look for a few key indicators: 1. **URL Check**: Check the URL when you are logged in. If the URL contains "sandbox.paypal.com", you are in the Sandbox environment. The regular PayPal accounts operate under "paypal.com". 2. **Dashboard Appearance**: When you log into the PayPal Sandbox environment, the interface typically mentions "Sandbox" somewhere on the dashboard, often at the top or in the account overview section. 3. **Email Notifications**: If you receive email notifications from PayPal and they mention "Sandbox" or "Test Email" within the subject or body, it's a clear indication that the actions are being performed in a Sandbox environment. 4. **Testing Features**: If you're able to perform tests without real money transactions and with test data, such as using test credit card numbers, this is another sign that you're in the Sandbox environment. If you're developing or testing integrations and you're unsure or need to switch between modes, you might need to log out from one environment and log in to another with the appropriate credentials. Hope this helps!

Hello, I'm based in Ghana and Wix doesnt give me PayPal as a payment provider due to my location. But I created a PayPal account when i was in Canada and then moved. Do you know of this method you showed work for me to receive payments from customers into my PayPal please?
@websitewiz

Using PayPal for receiving payments on your Wix site while based in Ghana, even with an account created in Canada, can be quite complex due to regional restrictions and PayPal's compliance requirements. PayPal generally requires that the account holder's use conforms to the regulatory environment of the country they are located in. If your PayPal account was created in Canada, it's associated with Canadian banking and regulatory frameworks. Using it from Ghana might lead to complications, such as account limitations or closure if PayPal determines the account usage is inconsistent with their policies or international regulations. We would suggest that you contact PayPal Support to explain your situation and seek advice on how to legally use your account from Ghana. They might provide a solution or guide you on the right steps to take to comply with their policies. Hope this helps!

Hello i run a clothing store, so how i can use this feature for my store, should i add this paypal button in each page of each product ? Pls reply know

Hi Sachin, thanks for your question. Yes, you would need to add this button to each product. However, if you're running a clothing store with many products with multiple colours, sizes etc., these buttons are not an ideal solution. You'd be better off with PayPal's 'Add to Cart' button. We made a video on that here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-thWrCUYFs.html But since we made this video 2 years ago, PayPal's payment button options have changed. Therefore, today we would recommend for you to use a full service solution, like Wix, Woo Commerce etc. They integrate the payment buttons within your store and make it much easier and streamlined for an online business in the long run. Hope this helps!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. If you have multiple products a better solution would be the 'add to cart' button which we show here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-thWrCUYFs.html

Hi Sachin, if you have multiple products you can use the PayPay 'add to cart' button which we show in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-thWrCUYFs.html

So I am new to Wix and is thinking about getting the core plan. That is 36 dollars month to month and was going to get it for a few months to see if my business does well. That plan does not have 50 percent off. But if after using that for 2 months, can I get the core plan for 1 year at 50 percent off? Pls help me!!!

Hi, 2 months is probably not long enough to check the viability on any business. So, we personally would only take out the 1 year plan, for 5 reasons: 1. It's the only option where you save 50% off straight away, maximising your savings overall. 2. The monthly plan is actually $7 more each month, than the yearly rate. And you don't get this back after you upgrade to 1 year. 3. The cost that you would incur for paying 2 months at the 'month-to-month' rate, would pay for nearly 5 months of usage, if you sign up for a year, so it's much cheaper overall again. 4. You get a lot more freebies included with the yearly plan that are excluded from month-to-month. Such as: - Free domain for 1 year - Events calendar app - Get Found Today app by Uberall - Dropshipping by Modalyst 5. By paying for a year, you mentally commit yourself to put in a true effort towards creating a successful website. That said, if you still decide to try it out monthly, we would apply the same procedure shown at this point in the video, to activate a 50% offer after you've already set up your site: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MxgXJxjk7uA.html. Please also check out this video, where we talk about how often the discount offers are usually available: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TjYD1oXBw3c.html Hope this helps!

I have already added this in my site but there's 1 button that says "Pay Later". How can I deactivate that?
@websitewiz
@websitewiz 6 месяцев назад
Hi Razelvi, to deactivate the "Pay Later" option when you've integrated PayPal Smart Buttons on your website, you usually need to adjust the settings within your PayPal account or through the PayPal button integration code on your website. Here's a general guide to do it: *THROUGH PAYPAL ACCOUNT SETTINGS* 1. *Log in to your PayPal Business account*: Access your account on the PayPal website. 2. *Access the Button Settings*: Navigate to the area where you manage your PayPal buttons. This could be under "Seller Tools" or a similar section depending on PayPal's current interface. 3. *Edit Button Features*: If PayPal offers direct control over the "Pay Later" feature from the account settings (this might not always be the case), you'll find an option to edit or remove specific features related to the buttons. 4. *Disable Pay Later*: Look for options related to financing or Pay Later features and disable them. *THROUGH BUTTON INTEGRATION CODE* If you don’t find an option to disable the Pay Later feature directly from your PayPal account settings, you may need to adjust the PayPal Smart Button code on your website: 1. *Find the PayPal Smart Button code* on your website. This is the code snippet you added to integrate the PayPal buttons. 2. *Adjust the code*: You need to include the `disable-funding` option and specify `paylater` as the value you want to disable. Here’s how you can add it to the existing Smart Button code: paypal.Buttons({ // Your button configuration disableFunding: 'paylater', // Other options like createOrder, onApprove, etc. }).render('#paypal-button-container'); This javascript code tells PayPal not to offer the Pay Later option as part of the Smart Button options on your website. *IMPORTANT NOTES* - *Test the Changes*: After making these adjustments, the Pay Later option should no longer appear to your customers. However, it’s good to test the button to ensure everything works as expected. - *Documentation and Support*: Since PayPal occasionally updates its features and how they're managed, it's wise to consult the [PayPal Developer Documentation](developer.paypal.com/docs/) or contact PayPal support for the most current methods. If you're not comfortable making these changes yourself, consider reaching out to PayPal support for additional guidance. Hope this helps.
