I make a paste with baking soda, dawn and peroxide on the stove top. I have a ceramic stove top. Then I put a wet kitchen towel over it and let it sit overnight. Wipes clean in the morning. Much easier than steaming. I have a handheld steamer and a canister steamer and a shark floor steamer. Of course I think steaming is a wonderful tool to clean your house, but please take caution. Especially if you have small children.
It is a good product. But ours is broken still under warranty, customer service is impossible to work with. I am so disappointed at a well respected company.
Thank you so very much. I have neglected the deep cleaning of my Dyson animal upright ball vacuum and it needed the cleaning badly. Your video is so well done that it made it much easier for me to complete the deep clean.
I’m having a terrible time trying to get the Kirby ( I luckily found in a home that was being demolished with all the attachments except flex hose and instructions) getting my belt on
For 2:09 there's like big chunks in the mesh. How do you clean those out? If i could take the t off it would come off easy but that's the only part I couldn't get to.
This was the BEST tutorial I’ve seen, for cleaning this awesome vacuum cleaner! Thanks so much. My vacuum went from a stinky, dusty mess, back to its “almost” new condition. Great job on this tutorial. :) Thanks so much. ☺️
I take mine out once in a while to remind me how foolish I was to buy this. Warm mist forced out with a "whoosh" is not steam. This thing does nothing a spray bottle and paper towels can't do.
Are these better than microfiber cloths for cleaning surfaces? Like countertops, steel, and glass? I currently use microfiber cloths but they don't absorb super well, better than a paper towel but they also take a long time to dry.
Does not clean. I still had to get down on hands and knees to really clean. And I asked multiple times to ask if it cleans carpet. The sales person assured me each time. In fact he put me on hold to "ask the supervisor. So sorry I bought the machine. I cannot even return it.
Thank you for sharing this! I always loved the look of the Heritage 84! I have the Heritage 2 Legend made in 1988. I also have a model 517 from 1957. Both vacuums work amazingly well for their age. Better than any new vacuum I've used. I also have been collecting some of the weird attatchments. I love how one Kirby can do any household chore you can think of! They're amazing! Take good care of that Kirby and maybe polish it up with a little Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. It will look like new!
How do I close the cyclone lid and click it back into place. I’ve been at it with mine for an hour and nothing seems to fit unless I break off pieces of plastic that are acting as barriers
