Still hits hard to this day. I just wish this band didnt end in such tragedy, if it wasn’t for Jag being a weirdo maybe Jordan would still be here. RIP to a legend
I've known there's a lot going with him, but I never looked into the details. All I know is he's claimed all the music. He basically claimed the band as his. I just don't know the extent of how crazy the dude is
I remember covering "Drown the City" during our freshman year in college. It was one of the most unforgettable moments of my university days. RIP Jordan.
Thought for a moment that Jag might have grown up and returned the band their name, you know considering they lost their vocalist and all, I'd have thought it could be a move he would make in good faith but instead he's still sitting on that name and dwelling in obscurity and toxicity. This is the REAL "a skylit drive", it makes me so sad to see what a massive turd jag turned out to be
I remember seeing these guys with jag years back, when they mega sold out. I was so disappointed, because i grew up with the OG ASD. Im from stockton, so im close to these guys, and have seen them live so many times. When i saw jordan was playijg with them again, and i saw they were back to the real ASK, it warmed my heart. RIP jordan. She Watched the Sky is so underrated in its importance to this genre. We need a new generation to trailblaze this genre again!
Seeing Jonny go this hard and be completely on his A game warms my heart. Jonny is living proof that people can rise above their addictions and change for the best. He killed this shit.
Lol, everyome acting like jordan was the best. He made one ep and decided to dip. And then try to comeback 15 years later and take the band again. Like jag didnt make 5 albums and toured 10+ years with ASD.
First of all, it’s pretty disrespectful to speak ill of someone who’s passed. Secondly, no one is discounting Jag’s contributions to the band. People are criticizing the fact that he highjacked the copyright behind the original members backs, and SUED them for touring under the name that they (Jordan, Nick, Joey, Brian, Kyle, and Cory) created in 2005. He’s now parading around with two random dudes and a kid who’s barely 18 as “A Skylit Drive”. It seems to me and everyone else that Signals (Jag’s project post-ASD) was failing and getting no traction, and he decided to do ASD again because no one gave a shit about Signals and to spite the original members. While Jag was a member of ASD for 10 years and his contributions do matter, his actions over the past 7 years have been unforgivable.
Incredible. I remember the first time seeing ASD live they were actually playing with DGD at Studio Seven in 2007. Hooked ever since, Jordan was such a nice guy after the show - and Cory also hanging out before having to leave. Jordan will be forever missed, made his mark on a lot of troubled kids in a very positive way. Thank you for putting this show on, filming it. My 35 year old ass got some tears….
Hi! Unfortunately, the lineup you’ve seen that is going to tour is Jag and a bunch random dudes. He seems to think he has the right to do that, which is crazy to me.
@@NOMAD-_- yeah so Jag silently took ownership of the copyright “A Skylit Drive” in 2017, without any of the members consent, therefore he also took all the social media pages with the name A Skylit Drive. He restarted the band after the OG reunion out of spite, and with all random members. It’s crazy how he’s deluded himself into thinking he should own the rights to ASD.
@@troypatrickmccabelol so they had a band for 15 years and never once thought to copyright the name lmao seems dumb on their part. And you act like as if jag wasn't part of the band for 10+ years and released 5 albums. He has as much right to the name. Not Jordan who made one ep and tried to come back and take the name back from jag. That's kinda shitty of them.
@@JarrodF7405first of all, you’re ill-informed. the copyright was dissolved in 2017, and Jagmin trademarked the name SILENTLY without informing the other members after the fact. It’s funny how you don’t know any of these guys including Jag, but you’re so quick to come to Jag’s defense makes me wonder 🤔
God, it was one of the most deep touching things I've ever seen. Thank you all who took part in this memorial show and made this video! A Skylit Drive and Jordan will stay in my heart forever. 17 years of listening and still never enough </3 Is there any chance to get link to this adorable piano cover of TPTLTM (by Red Woods?), that starts at 38:40? It's so beautifully played, I have just two words: fuckin great!
Seeing Bryan crying for the last, the love definitely hit me hard. This album is one that made me who I am today. Love you guys, rest in peace Jordan 🖤🖤
Hi! Thanks for the amazing video. RIP Jordan Blake. Always loved his work. I cant wait to get W!TG to my CD collection. By the way, can you share any interesting information about what happened with ASD? You said you wanted to make a documentary, so you know something. I understand that it is unsafe to do this, since Jagoff loves to sue, but I think people SHOULD know the whole truth! Mb should you post about it somewhere? If you can share any information, please do so. At least a little. Tell me something pls if its possible P.S. Bad English, sorry! P.S. 2. Thank you again ❤
Hello, thank you for watching and Jordan will always be in our memories forever. Unfortunately, the documentary won’t be able to come to fruition, due to potential legal issues from other parties. I would’ve loved to get the true story out there, but it’s really not my story to tell. It’s theirs. I’ll say this; the core A Skylit Drive members are in this video and Jordan is the heart of ASD. Without them, it’s not A Skylit Drive. Whatever Jag wants to say or do is out of my control, but he’s made a lot of peoples lives a living hell.
Jonny did after he was booted from dgd the first time. It was quite an interesting time. In the span of like 3 -4 months to end 2007, Craig Mabbitt sang with ETF on a night Ronnie was ill, before he got booted from blessthefall. JC got booted from dgd and then finished a tour with ASD after Jordan got booted from ASD.
