why you didn't hold grab? is there a reason to do less damage? I see people with highter rank than me always doing neutral grab without holding but don't know why
By holding it you do more damage, but I'm pretty sure Zangief gets up slower than the opponent. I don't look at frame data but that's what I think happens, guy is right, it's so you can loop it
