Thanks for the video. After quotes between 750 and 1,500 this gave me the confidence to replace my clogged heater core myself. I went with the Febi Bilstein 108187 and did drain the coolant system as the coolant was very dirty. Make sure you get the lower hose connected properly with the clamp, I did not pay attention when doing up the clamp and the hose was not seated correctly. The first test run filled the footwell with coolant. I also removed the grey center console bracket which obstucts working at the lower heater core hose. Its just a single 8mm bolt holding it in place, just pull back the carpet to reveal it. All good now and nice warm car again for the winter.
Thank you for a quick concise vid confirming that my plan of attack was correct, now I just have to do it!……Done it. Bloody screws in the liner, otherwise not too bad.
I have renewed the timing-belt, waterpump, tensioner pulley and idler pulley on my 2014` Ford Grand C-Max today. The motor code is AV4Q 6007 CD from my car (instead of 6007 DD). But every bolt and screw looks the same. You gave very detailed and understandable explanations and helpful tips for installation. Thank you very much for this video. A big thumbs up!
ECU modules don’t need unplugging. Just undo the bracket and move it as one. Also leads on top don’t need unplugging. Just remove the 3 bolts and move it all out of the way
I've issues with my n43 116i (petrol). Especially when doing cold start. We have changed so much even the injectors. Could it be a problem with this filter here?
Instead of using the Special Tool to block the DMF.. is it possible to put in a Gear, block the Brake disc and then geht out the crank bolt? I dont have that Special tool that why Im asking. Thanks in advance.
“Thank you for the video. My garage is unsure about whether to replace the water pump. In general, it’s often recommended to replace both the water pump and the timing belt together. Would you also recommend replacing both due to the amount of labor involved?
Werw total opposite. We have resistance on the pedal but we cannot get the rear to bleed up. No fluid comes out of the bk brakes. This can is a 2012 mercedes E250
Very good clear explanation. However, the parts that needed to be shown were the actual removal of the 4 splined bolts & the related access issues you may have had because of the CV joint. Also, it would have been beneficial to see how seized the bearing actually was.
I’m an reputable autowatch installer. Thanks for giving car thieves heads up. That’s why we companies get a reputation for being behind car thefts. Then wonder why your business is running down.
Thank you for your concern designe munsamy, if you really had any sort of clue what you were talking about you would KNOW that this is clearly not going to show how to steal the car… as it is quite clearly stated in the video….. If indeed you are a “reputable autowatch installer” then I have to ask… why are you watching the video to bypass?.. You would KNOW that this is just bypassing the immobiliser and you still need the key to turn the ignition on and to crank the starter/run the engine. This is purely to get you out of the s**t if you are the owner of the vehicle and you have the key. So like I said thanks for your completely irrelevant comment… and thanks for the view.. they all help.
I did a Renault captur other week, with exactly the same faults, exactly same 5 amp fuse popped. But that one was in the ns/f top engine bay fuse board.
Thank You! Do you also have to replace it based on time criteria? For example if I have only 20k driven, but the car is only 6 yo. Is there a way to evaluate the wear without doing that much dissasembly?
@@AlojzyZyrokompas to be honest if it’s around 6 years old then it wouldn’t hurt to do it to be honest. Few hundred now is better than a new engine later!
Very good video thankyou 😊. What exactly does it mean when the code says "line disconnection"? Is the car still ok to be driven? My topdon scanner didnt pick up the 3401 code, but my mini specialists did, but didn't really offer up much of an explanation. Thanks
Hi,i have. 1.8 tdci focus mk2.5 tgat dosent start and i did like you did, when i bleed at the high fuel presure pump it comes out hard and not that much as you show in the video,it s something wrong at the pump?
This is the best video so far. Well explained and thorough. No rubbish background music overpowering your voice. However, my car won't bleed as I can hear a leak when priming the filter out end and no fuel comes out?
@Chris_CDB thanks for your reply. I split the seal when fitting the filter housing on. I bought a new filter and replaced the seal, followed your bleeding method, and my Galaxy is alive again. Cheers 🍻
How much would it cost roughly just for the oil pump to be done as I’ve already had the belt done and they said the gauze for the pump was already clean, someone already messed with it before I owned it.
@@GreatScottByJoe no not at all, you are only going to get the fuel that’s on the filter and from The lines to the engine that’s going to come out. Can be done with tank full to the brim, or empty!
This video is most accurate with all bolts nuts and what you supposed to do ! Mate brilliant job I was super stressed doing that but with that video you took of me about 60% stress out . Of course it’s moment when you not sure did you do everything right … but I’ve done it and I’m super happy I save myself about 400£ 😍😁😁😁😁 thank you !!
Call me old fashioned, but a lever operated handbrake never had such problems. I'm tired of manufacturers over complicating what were once reliable, mechanical components, such as park brakes, automatic gear selectors, keyless entry & ignitions, boot releases & climate controls. When a customer's keyless key fob dies, they often won't know how to gain access to, or start their vehicle. Because they never bother to read their owners manual, which is probably locked inside their car. Similarly, if the battery dies on a modern automatic vehicle, the car often won't come out of park. It is a nightmare to recover a broken down or stranded vehicle in this situation, as there is no longer a mechanical over ride under the centre console. Car manufacturers love to reinvent the wheel, but when these features go wrong it leads to frustration and often a large bill. Rant over.
