Hur är ag1an tycker du? Ser grymt trevligt ut att drilla fisk på men ser också lite ”svampigare” ut när man kastar med den än vad t.ex. Shimano Aspire gör som är det andra spöt jag kollar på… något du har några reflektioner om?

Hej! Tack för vänliga ord. Det är mycket möjligt att det kan komma en sådan film. Jag har inte fiskat lika mycket med multirulle senaste tiden, vilket mest beror på att jag trivs oerhört bra med klingorna hos de Sölvspön jag använder. Spöna finns dock endast i haspelutförande. Jag har inte hittat några passande spinnspön som känns riktigt lika bra. Men jag för väl köra lite återblick … :) Ha det gott.
Thank you so much. It depends. I prefer fishing for sea trouts when it’s between 3 and 10 degrees celcius. I avoid fishing them when the water is warmer than circa 12-14 degrees - mainly because I don’t want to fight trouts in too high temperatures (risking to make them suffer from lethal fatigue). And in my waters they usually move to deeper water as the temperature rises.
Tappade första stora fisken för året igår, kändes ovanligt stort för gbg. Annars verkar det som jag bara fiskat där alla 25-35cm gapiga tonåringar till fiskar håller till, det hugger helt urskiljningslöst, hälften lossnar och blir luftburna. Kul, men svårt att fortsätta när det känns som att man bara ger onödiga piercings utan att det finns en måltid runt hörnet.
Ja, det kan vara segt. Jag har haft svårt att hitta de stadiga bitarna också. Så finns det de som kliver ner i vattnet för första gången i år och kniper en gigant. Fiske ... ;)
@@nickahellenberg jofan, så är det x) -min första grötö/västkust öring är fortfarande min största, 1988, 6år gammal, 2,6kg mitt andra kast i livet xD Där väcktes ett intresse och en kärlek för naturen<3
Thanx. There is another video in the making, so as soon as I get some time to finish it … In these waters there’s seldom any hard drift/currents. We don’t have tide, so usually I don’t have to plan for that. Of course, due to wind and sea currents there could be some movements. If it feels to strong I usually find another spot to fish. 😊

Be glad that you can live in such in a lovely country which gives you the opportunities to such a great hobby/Sport. Tänkte fixa några drag med räkimitation bakom men dålig på det här med flourcarontafsar - vilken diameter ska man använda ca? Tittade på 0,34mm, är nåt sånt lagom? Brottstyrkan är då 7.7kg / mvh
Det är lite en smaksak. Vill man att den ska vara lite mer styrande och "stel" bör man nog ha lite tjockare, men vill du få den livlig är det nog ganska lagom med något runt 0,30. Som jämförelse använder jag fluorcarbon runt 0,40 mm till mina genomlöpsdrag. Tycker inte det finns någon anledning att ha tunnare, utan tvärtom gör en lite tjockare variant att jag får bra krokningsegenskaper och god hållbarhet mot nötning.
Not really since these are Salmo trutta. But occasionally I do catch some fugitive rainbow trouts/steelheads (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the Baltic Sea. They are often strong and beautiful. Tight lines.
Hi. Not too often. Many times not at all. I try to keep focus on retrieving, casting and varying tempo instead of changing lures. But if the conditions will change (more wind, darker skies, murky water and so forth) I might change. Or if the trouts are following, but not biting I might try something different. 👍

@@nickahellenberg Oh, so it's a fly - with a hook - separately attached to the line, you mean (an 'ophænger flue', as it's called here)? I haven't done much fly fishing (I stick to spinning, works better for me), but I know that you can get line through flies. I thought it was one of those sliding on the line in front of the lure as an extra attraction for the trout, but without a hook. So I guess I misunderstood. Anyway, thanks for the reply. And knæk og bræk back to you :-)
@@nickahellenberg That actually makes sense to replace the ordinary hook with a fly. I have never thought about that. It's definitely worth a try, thanks for the advice. Knæk og bræk and stay safe :-)
Thank You. Not so much, but I know that the fishing on Öland is great and in many ways very much similar to the the fishing on "my" coast. :) I think You will have a great time.

Kul att kolla in såna här bra tips! Kan man testa att ha en räka bakom draget? Har aldrig testat men kan det fungera? Har inte riktigt fått räkmete att funka på havsöring trots att andra säger att det kan vara toppen men känns som tempot saknas ibland, men kanske räka efter drag med tempo och vevstopp? Kan det vara värt att testa?
Tack! Visst kan du testa. Men, alltför tunga saker bakom draget gör ju att det förlorar sin rörelseförmåga. Själv vill jag också fiska mer aktivt, så mete efter öring är inget jag sysslar med. Men en liten räkimitation framför eller bakom draget kan vara vasst ibland. 🎣👍
Hi Nicka. Short and nice video as always with good fishing tips. I just wonder how you can see when the fish follows (?) I can’t “see” them following even in crystal clear calm waters 😂
Thanx a lot. A pair of polarized sun glasses will help. But often I can see the trouts anyway - at least when they are close and the water is quite shallow.
Jodå, men samtidigt är det mer gratisjobb med redigering och färre tittare som orkar se långa saker i vårt stressade samhälle. ;) Vi får se vad som kommer framöver.
Grymt! Har aldrig testat att ha en fluga bakom draget! Jag har alltid med både flugspö och spinn, så märker jag att den ena metoden inte funkar så byter jag 🙂
Fint video, Jag försökte fiska med en silver 12 gram skeddrag, som sjunkde ungefär 1 meter men fick ingen öring, har du tips för mig för att få en öring till nästa gång. Tack!!!!!

Jag använder multi ibland, men jag vill gärna fiska med de nya Sölv-spöna och de finns bara i haspelvereion. Men, det blir nog lite mer multi framöver igen. :)
@@nickahellenbergKul! Jag tycker det är betydligt färre som använder multi nuförtiden. Du hade en Ut trimmad ambassadeur pro rocket för några år sedan. Är den i drift? För mig har det blivit fiske med flugspö senaste åren.

Thanx. They are Fish Monkey Wooly gloves with ”half fingers”. They are quite warm even when wet. But of course it still is quite chilly this time of the year! 🙂
Gillar enkelkrok generellt, men på vissa beten lägger sig enkelkroken på ryggen av draget vid vevstopp då hugget ofta kommer, Tex truttan (Ludde kopia) då får man sätta en mjuk pärla eller slang över fjäderringen så kroken inte hamnar fel när fisken hugger 🎣👍

Everyone says that winter and cold weather we must trick the fish with some weird colours like pink etc. Because fish has no energy as summer period, so we must gets the fish curiosity with different coloured blinks. 🤷♂️ Is not necessary and why? Hey! Thank you so much for your kind words. I do believe there could be reasons to try strong colours and such when the water is cold and the seatrouts are a bit slow. It’s different from day to day, sometimes from hour to hour what seems to work. I don’t think strong colours are the solutions for fishing a certain season. Perhaps they help when it’s cold, but the right “medicine” could also be fishing at a slower tempo, making longer stops, or using a smaller lure, or a bigger one… My point is that there is nothing such as “red and black baits are the best from October until February and purple-yellow-greens will do the work March to May “. I think it’s a better idea to use different colours depending on the colour of the water, the light from the skies, the baitfish we try to emulate etcetera. And sometimes (no matter what season it is) it might be the best to either go for a sparkling, crazy colorful bait or the opposite - use a very natural looking and plain lure.
Jag brukar oftast gå till lite mer färgstarka beten under kallaste tiden, tycker de har varit en ganska bra utgångspunkt i mitt fiske. Det känns som att det kan trigga trötta öringar till att faktiskt ta betet istället för att bara titta på det 🙂
@@nickahellenberg Thank you. But how many grams your rod is weighting and which model you have? I couldn’t find any realistic information in Abu homepage on AG1 models.
@@markkokivi - My favourite is the 9’6’’ (8-29 grams). I also like the 9' (6-26 g). If you prefer a little longer rods the 10'2" (9-32 grams) is great as well. For me the 9'6" is the perfect compromise, not too weak or soft and definitely not too heavy and stiff. It weighs 256 grams.
@nickahellenberg Can 256g rod weight really be accurate? Very heavy for a modern sea trout rod at that length, must be a typo. The less expensive Sölv AG3 302 10-30g weighs 165g and the 10' Sölv AG2 weighs 150g according to Abu Garcia catalogue.
