@@TheDudeMinds89 I read an interview with Brock a few days ago where he said that he was releasing an album of the recording of that exact time that Frank Zappa came to see him. The album was called "What Zappa Saw" or something like that.
This is from Saratoga, NY. 9/1/84 up until 13:56. Sounds like the last 50 seconds is from another show, not Saratoga or Holmdel. At the end of the Holmdel show Frank can be heard saying goodnight, not on the last 50 seconds of this version.
This is awesome .. any more details on this gig/radio show? Is this the same line up as the Spanish TV programe with John Cale and Andy Summers guesting? Sounding really solid here.
I’m pretty sure it is the same lineup. As far as info on the gig, I don’t have anymore info other than it’s a gig from a German radio broadcast in November 1982
That’s Mike McGear, Paul McCartney‘s brother. Also, Neil Innes, formerly of the Bonzo Dog Band on the recording maybe not on this live one, was on a scorching pedal steel guitar.
@@written12 Yes. Vibes were apparently his first instrument - and you can see him playing them in the video of Timebox (which also featured Patto and Halsey) covering "Beggin'" elsewhere on RU-vid.
