My daughter started the academy, so i ended up joining here. Got a 36.8 on my 2nd members 342 session. Wish they still ran the the main track over 3 floors instead of using the bottom floor for combat karts.
purely depends on track conditions from what i can work out. its the same at any track, if the track is gripping up nicely cos of temp or whatever reason (can be anything from what rubber has been put down) try it and work it out. just know if ur running wide u probably have to lift a bit, this was our first few sessions on so not much rubber. im also quite heavy in this clip so that doesnt help. all based on the situation really mate
Went go-karting for the first time on a stag do a couple weeks ago and I think it's got me hooked on karting. Went here for the first time last night and managed a 38.965 on speed 3. Improved over a second between the first and second sessions, but then only 0.1 of a second between second and third sessions because the marshals told me you don't need to brake at all and I was trying to figure out how that's possible given the long flat-out left turn that leads into a hairpin and the one at the bottom of the ramp more than actually put in fast times!
Great video mate these karts are Liverpools old petrol karts really but the track is enjoyable this is one of my local tracks Trafford and Warrington 👍👍
Hey great video, I was wondering if I could use a clip from this video?, I make TeamSport crash & fail videos, check my channel out if you like, Credit to owner of the clips will be displayed in the video and in the description. Thanks
Speed4 coming 1st September, can’t wait!! Followed your instructions to a T, beat my fastest time by 0.5seconds. Managed to do a few laps with zero brake but struggled to get traction and speed at the bottom of the ramp. Fastest time 37.774 so far @ speed 3
Last thing Teamsport needed to do was add a boost button. 98% of Teamsport customers are retarted as it is. The amount of broken limbs and dead bodies Ive seen at Teamsport is unreal.
yep I tried to sorta mention that in my video - rental karts are upside down anyway and everything be different especially at sheff. just make urself an early braking point and focus on that exit, and as the session goes on start to brake a bit later.
Thanks, yeah, I have been braking too late for some corners and compared with your videos I steer too much. I can just hear the car sliding a bit too much on exits as I am getting it rotated a bit too much and killing the revs.
@DefoKai the karts get battered up quite easily. I worked at teamsport for a few years. Maintanance was always an issue, doesnt help that customers bash the crap out of them all the time.
@@rumelahmed4539 aha yeah I've seen some of the crashes - I do feel for you guys. if I had the money I'd 100% move to owner karting. just go for fun - doesn't mean I can't have a moan when my kart is broken 😂😂
peak video for those tryna find the secrets (drive faster) - I hope this can help at least some of you improve your times, especially if you've been feeling a bit lost as to where the time is recently.
Everyone was playing bumper cars....when they start that it's fairgame, but t-bones and running people into walls should never be allowed. Well done for taking the W.
aha well usually I wouldn't - but he did tell me after he did it on purpose. (to defend ofc) usually it's ok if you slow down at the apex as it is an actual defending method, but here you can argue he deffo did it a tad early and it could be seen as brake checking. especially as he ramped up brake pressure, where as in karting you let off quite quickly. if he had been braking like this for the whole session, would've 100% taken all the blame. but i really don't react that fast, i also brake quite early myself, so he must've been braking rlly hard. just my view on these sort of incidents.
Bro with respect you legit divebomb, cause crashes and contact all the time in this video as much as the other guys… Wouldn’t be critical of others when your just as bad!
I do agree with you, but I have to say a lot of the contact I make is simply just copying what others have done to me. I made a clean overtake and a guy pushed me out of the way despite there being no gaps, so on the next corner I held it in and went for the overtake. otherwise I would've been pushed around even more. I have to add that multiple times throughout the video you can see me back out where I could've very easily made a bit of contact and kept it in. also all of the dive bombs, excluding my first overtake at the very first race (literally first 10 minutes on speed 4), were all clean and justified as I was ahead by the turning in point (you don't brake there). but I do see where you're coming from - but with the way some of these other guys were racing I don't know what you expect, a lot of the contact I made was unavoidable as people turned in on me, bumped me from behind and brake checked me. and I certainly never overtook a driver who had already met the apex and knocked him out of the way! 😂👀
I'm a mech at TS preston with about 300 laps of testing or so now and this is pretty spot on! Well done! Grip is only going to increase, was impressed you caught on to the double boost trick haha
Your laps looked so clean and fast there, I managed a 38.6 using the boost at the very start of the ramp I'm going to try it in different places tonight
ooo awesome mate - cheers, I'll have to come back now it's gripped up. just continue testing things out and you'll see your times drop, good luck tonight 💪🔥
oh and an extra little tip is smooth is fast - don't waste grip. see it as a meter and everytime you steer too much or are too aggressive, you're wasting grip that could be used on corner exit or on entry. 👌👍
yeah i figured that out - i mentioned it at the end of the video... issue i had when trying to figure it out was that it would turn on by itself - but yepyep i tried that once and it deffo worked.
@@Kai_Verona no it was a 40.1 today first time in these karts and track was slippy and under steering, went with a few of my lads from my race team the Warringtonwarriors
