That seems a decent price to be fair, this was a while ago. Is that just parts or with fitting? I usually get my parts from places like eurocarparts and carparts4less and use the honey add on for discounts. Best to check there in case it’s cheaper.
hi, i did all of the above but the rim of the phone is now overheating and draining battery. ive tried rebuilding twice. its possible i damaged the battery during removal but cant be sure, im sure everythings in its place.. any thoughts anyone? thanks in advance!
I have a question, a VW Polo 1.2 of 70 hp 6R, to change spark plugs is it imperative to buy originals from the brand so as not to make a mistake or can we buy brands like Bosch or NGK or similar in competition? I heard an engineer say that he saw a case where they put some NGKs and it went wrong after a few kilometers, which then went out.
Hi, I wouldn’t say it’s necessary to use original spark plugs. This is simply because the original ones are usually of Bosch or NGK brand anyhow, just with a VW stamp on them too. Like with any, there is a chance of them being faulty out the box but it is very rare. I’ve always used NGK or BOSCH and never had an issue. Hope this helps.
Hiya, these S10e devices have the fingerprint scanner in the home button. If you do a replacement of the complete chassis including the screen as I did it’s as simple as swapping all the parts over. The screen itself shouldn’t have a scanner inside of it, the S10’s have this.
Hi, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. I believe I have covered the whole process though to be fair. Its pretty simple to do on these engines as they are small and only have 3 cylinders.
Sorry about the confusion. I did write it in the description and it is the only type of screen replacement I’d even recommend on these Samsung phones as it’s both more cost effective and easier to do. I’ve had phones in the past with screens that are barely attached because of screen only replacements.
This is a really great, no nonsense video about spark plug change. The plugs you took out were very worn - other than a VW stamp, did you notice a manufacturers name on the plugs? I hope you have got more mpg too after the new plugs went in. Can't go wrong with Bosch. Top tip for next time: use some dielectric grease and coat the porcelain and connection end for improved performance. Also your engine sounds amazing for 120K+ miles. You must be using good engine oil, frequent changes?
Thanks for the comment. Sorry for the late reply. I appreciate the feedback, this was the first time I changed spark plugs so I didn't know that. Will keep it in mind for next time. MPG wise I am not sure as I wasn't driving at that time, I am guessing though it would have made a difference as the car was jerky beforehand.
simple. just corporate greed, cuz thats makes it much harder to fix the device, also breaks aside the battery is the first thing die so is " just but a new phone, is cheaper that the costly replacement procedure" kinda thing. also what the whole "right to repair" movement is trying to undo.
Yeah but the screen was replaced. The common and recommended type of screen replacement on these Samsung’s is the one which I did. This is because it’s easier, etc.
@@Whosgonnafixit_ I dropped my samsung s10 e in a toilet bowl. Dried it but the screen was stuttering. The next day it worked fine then stopped working. It won't turn on and when I press the volume and power button it just does the boot up/charge vibration. Also I connected it to my Mac and the screen turned on for a second. Do you think it's repairable and how much
@@perseusfvr1339 Does it turn on but no display? As in if you put it on charge it vibrates but nothing comes up on screen? If it’s that then it’s the screen that has gone bad so not too bad on repair pricing.
Great video man! I have an 09 Seat Ibiza 1.6 Petrol which is pretty much a 4 cylinder version of the 1.2. Did the hiccups under acceleration fully go away after you put the new plugs in? I also have the same issue when I accelerate from low RPM's, got some NGK plugs on the way from AutoDoc so I hope that sorts it out!
Thanks for watching! Yep the hiccup fully went away and the car was much smoother. I know on some of these they have ignition leads instead of coils and they can go bad too.
@@Whosgonnafixit_ Changed the plugs today and the car no longer hesitates, drives great now! The Ignition coils looked to be good condition too so that's another plus, cheers again for the video!
I replied to another guy with a similar question. I did obviously replace the screen as the original one had a black spot and a few things wrong with it but the screen I replaced had its own frame so all it needed me to do was swap all parts to the new frame.
i think they did a replacement with a LCD+digitizer +frame assembly, as you can see when thet took out the mainboard the battery was still in there,m then at the reaasembly theres no battery and the frame looks cleaner
So when and how did you put the screen on? You didn't show it in here? You just took all the parts and put them back on. When are you supposed to put the new screen on and how to take of the old screen you did not show.
Hi, sorry to confuse you but in this repair I purchased a screen with the frame that contained no parts so all I had to do was swap the parts from the broken screen housing to the frame where the screen was good. This is why at 8:07 I put the tissue paper to sort of protect the new screen from getting scratched as I then started to put the parts into it.
@@mdatauddinkhaja1672 I did it myself, wasn't bad at all. Just be really, really careful. And you will almost 100% break the back glass during removal - good thing is replacement back glass is like $10 on eBay. Should be considered part of the repair. I got a non-factory cool army green color back glass. I also replaced the battery while I was at it. My phone works great again.
Lexy Mdee it is about $140-160 to buy the frame with the screen panel + all the tools you need (suction cup, screwdriver(s), heat gun, pry tool, ect.) It's $120 for the screen only. So either way it's an expensive and difficult repair.
@@kimballray6631 I’ve done it before so it’s pretty simple for me. If you are confident in what you are doing go for it but always factor in risk of what could go wrong.
@@Whosgonnafixit_ i think we can both agree phones have gotten a lot more difficult to repair for the average joe shmoe, especially these newer samsungs. I can think back to my iPhone 6s screen replacement, which was literally child's play compared to something like this.
