I was down there this summer, we had one day where the waves were twice the size of this, I couldn’t really benefit since I just surf white water but it was incredible, 30 degrees, hard offshore wind and it resulted in a great day
All these clips were in one session. I probably had a few that I didn't get put into the vid. I was getting 2 waves a set and then 1 wave a set, repeatedly. It also depends on how many people are in your session and how many of those people are missing waves or falling off waves. It's definitely a good amount of waves tho, and a good amount of paddling to sustain!
To be honest I wasn't really into their range. From memory, they had soft-top shortboards in the rack which you could use. But cool to hear from the other comment they may have put some good boards in the rack.
The GoPro does distort the wave and it always looks smaller than it was. It is small, chest to shoulder high I would say. This is the 'advanced wave' they were running when I went in November, and The Wave have acknowledged the waves were smaller and weaker than the settings they had intended to operate it. I have seen today (mid Jan 2020) they have said on their website that they're going to turn it up higher and to surf it you need a 'Licence to ride'. Looks interesting - and I'm really keen to give it a go. Even though the waves were smaller and weaker than I had hoped to surf when I did try it in November, it was fun and I had really enjoyed it!
There's a wave every 7 seconds when they run a set. And theres about 20 waves a set. And there is a 90 second wait between sets (if i remember correctly)
I'm using the MyGo mount with the armband leash. I've tried a few different ones including GoPro's version, and it's the best I've used so far. It gives really stable footage and I don't need a floaty so I can use the screen in the water if I need to.
Thanks dude! I was surprised how blue it actually was. I'd seen it in photos etc but wasn't sure if the colours had been enhanced. But it is really just like that!

@StRaNGEBeautLIFE Its a quiver killer! I absolutely love it and its all i surf now, but still need to buy some fins that are actually quad fins for it though, which will hopefully make it even better. Just need some £££
@TheTaeminator i think because there was water in the air tight case, so when it heated up in the sun the evaporation had no where to go, so it decided to just chill and hang out on the lens. thats what i think anyway..
Count the tea breaks ;) Quite arty how the light changes in the windows too :) Also like Gaz turning up to have a nosey hehe. Great video - BIG Z from Surfs Up has nothing on you guys...
