The main mistake in this video is keeping the trevler in the middle and not opening it. Rule #1 trevler in the middle Catamaran is the captain and the sailor is the loser Trevler not in the middle Captain is the sailor
Hang glider pilots call paragliders "pair of panties" for good reason. I feel sorry for the pilots that haven't yet been in serious turbulence. They have no idea how violent the air can be.
The differences between coastal lift flights and thermal inland flights are large. Large turbulences really scare pilots without experience in flights with strong thermal temperatures. Regarding flying with a hang glider or paraglider, I see it as different sports equipment, as well as those who sail on monohulls or catamatans, other cases such as kitesurfing and windsurfing, and so on.
I agree, but that's exactly the problem. These pilots do not generate enough experience to undergo extreme conditions. And when they do, they end up in accidents.
Can someone explain 19:00 ? I had a less drastic but nonetheless similar incident where a near ground gust lifted me and then left me with no airspeed. I let my hands up and the flared late but had nothing to flare with.
But in the video it is clear that after the front, the pilot puts his hand in and returns in a negative manner. It seems to me that he was flying in a very turbulent area. Note that it acts continuously and does not let the paraglider fly.
