Wish I could’ve been there but thank you Mike for sharing it definitely enjoyed watching and hearing from all the top dogs in the monitor community 🤘🏻🤘🏻 wish you all the very best and hope to make it next time. Stay awesome 🙋♂️✌️
What type of paint do you use over the textured walls etc and what brand? Do you put any sealer over it? Does it take the high humidity well and not cause any problems trying to flake off or anything during cleaning?
Hey Mike I am a huge fan of yours. I am going to purchase a pair of Kimberley rock monitors. But I only haven’t yet because I can’t get an accurate answer on the humidity level for them. And I wanted a professional opinion. What should I keep the humidity at . .?
Why reinvent the wheel? If something is not broken, why fix it? That's what I thought when I saw "Mikes Monitors Socializing Caging System." What I mean by that is Mike has so much knowledge when it comes to Varanids. Why would I try to reinvent something he has been so successful at doing? He literally gave us monitor keepers a road map to success in socializing these amazing animals in weeks or even days. In my case, I followed Mike's methods to the "T" & in 3 short weeks, I had a 2 month old Cumingi completely socialized. Now, when I walk into my reptile room my Cumingi perks up for some chin, head, or back rubs. I put my hand into the enclosure, and he will walk over and rest his chin on my hand. Food is always a bonus for him. But what I am trying to say is that he is not only food motivated but genuinely seems like he just wants to interact no matter what the circumstances are. What Mike has accomplished with MMSCS and with Varanids as a whole is legendary. It should be the standard of socializing water monitors. Not only for the keeper but for the animals' welfare and happiness. It can be easy for me to disagree with 1 or 2 cases. But when I see dozens of success with this method, I can not lie to myself about the truth and evidence it supports. Hands down, point blank, this works. Thank you Mikes Monitors for advancing and evolving our hobby we are all so passionate about. Sincerely, Brad's Bioactive Builds on RU-vid 🤘💯🦎🐸🐍🐢🌱
Dear Mike, I am hatching my first batch of savannah monitor eggs ever. I messed up and only have 4 eggs left, and they have been going about 5 months. Next month, the hatching time should be due. Please give me advice to prepare for next month's hatching. What if they dont come out ? around time they are due should I cut a small hole or something if I see no heads come out next month? you are a expert and i really hope that you respond to help me.
