I haven’t used it on dog hair but it does seem pretty powerful and like it should work well. My place is mainly wood floors. We have carpet in the bedroom, but no dog. You can always give it a go and return if it’s not good enough. I like it.
Mine worked really well for over a year then stopped working unless you held the battery close to the body or you would get red flashing lights. So, I bought a replacement body and all was fine for a week. I now have the flashing red lights again and guess what solves it? Holding the battery close to the body. Replacement battery time? It charges fine and I don''t want to spend £74. Wondering if any else had this problem as my wife wants to bin it and buy a whole new machine!
Sorry to hear you're having this kind of luck with it. The best thing to do is report it directly to GTech who should be able to help you out I am sure.
@@GardenpowertoolsCoUk doesn't stand up against a wall. Falls down. When it falls it breaks. It doesn't suck - suction is insanely poor. Stuff gets stuck on the brush head all the time. The price point is way too high - a Shark vacuum can be had for similar budget when on offer and represents better quality for price. The charging situation is poor, the bags are expensive, etc etc. it is literally the worst vacuum on the market for this price point.
@@gandyo I agree about the standing up point. It's annoying. I guess it also depends on which Shark you get, as they have quite a range from comparable ones to the GTech to plugged in ones which are heavy and not aimed at the same type of person as the GTech. But I take your points onboard. The GTech is not for everyone. I've used the GTech Pro 2 for many years in my 1 bed flat with hard floors in most areas and find it incredible convenient. It's small and lightweight, too.
I find it’s great on hard floors, probably better than on carpet because it doesn’t have the same level of suction as a corded machine. Works perfectly in my flat and at my office.
worst review I`ve ever witnessed on RU-vid , this gives nothing for the viewer to make any sort of decision on whether or not to purchase the Hedge trimmer . You need to to a proper review on EXACTLY how it cuts, the performance overall, how high it can reach, how long the battery lasts on a large hedge in a REAL TEST ...
What was the black plastic that flies around the room when you take the cylinder off did a lug brake off?? Only asking because I find it really difficult to get the canister on and off
Hi ive had a gtech pro only lasted 18mths needed new on off switch , gtech sell the switch on its own but you need to solder it into position , the replacement module costs £49.99 , very little help from there agent
Sorry to hear that happened to you and that must be quite disappointing. The only thing I can suggest is waiting for a good deal on one of them, if you want to stay with GTech that is.
Morning. There is a site wide 20% off at the moment if you use code FEB20. There is not a specific one for the GTech Pro 2 at the moment, unfortunately.
I believe it appears to be much better. I haven’t personally tried it on any very deep pile carpets but overall it’s more powerful, and picks up dirt way better than the original.
You’re welcome. I agree, the old model of the GTech Pro had that as a weakness. The Pro 2 is very good. I’ve been using it in my house for the last month or so and it works very well.
Just ordered through GTech using the discount code but only got £50 off not £70. It's no big deal I just thought I'd let you know. I originally wanted the Pro2 K9 but that is no longer made so I went for this one after watching your review. Thanks for the review and the discount code.
Hi, ah ok. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll change that now. Sorry for any confusion. Yes, they have stopped making the K9 one of the original Pro. I think this one is a better improvement though for sure. Much more robust and feels stronger with better suction. Hope you like it.
I looked at this review as its on offer at £129 direct from g-tech but after seeing this video im not going to bother as there is no base to stop it from falling over and yes you can put it in the cupboard like you said but it will need charging so it will have to be left out somewhere or the battery will have to be taken off after every use not like the air ram. Also £50 for the hose well I made my mind up as soon as I saw that . All in all it doesn't look the completed product and needs some more design for function as it will be something left in a corner looking unkempt. I wont be purchasing, and will stick with the airram ..Thanks
The new one is a lot better. It’s the GTech pro 2, and I think the only one they sell now on their website. I just made another video about it so check that one out. Def worth looking at.
G tec air ram just to make things clear there fine on flat surfaces but shaggy pile basically usless. The extra Hoover that's comes as discounted at £100 is next to useless and even worse if you add the attachment. Basically you will still need a wired hoover if you want to give your home a good clean. So why would you bother with two others. Save space and dont bother the btec just doesn't have the power of a normal vacuum cleaner. 300 quid down the drain lesson learned.
I think it is all about the type of house you live in. If you need a really powerful machine then yes you will want a corded one. For many, these are sufficient. I’d recommend the GTech Pro 2 for anyone with an apartment or not too much thick carpet.
While this is an attractive and a While this is a light and attractive product, the front blade of the floor cleaning head disintegrated after less than a dozen uses. It will cost 10 pounds to get the replacement sent to me in the Rep of Ireland albeit under warranty . Has Gtech no servicing agent in the Republic o f Ireland? Disappointing.
My vacuum has had 2 batteries in two years. Going to cost £75 for a third one. Give them their due both batteries were replaced under the two year warranty. But two batteries failing????
Sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been having with this vacuum cleaner. Personally, I’ve had a couple of GTech vacuums for several years and not had any issues, but I’m sure it can happen from time to time. Hopefully GTech can resolve it for you.

I've had mine for less than a year and the handle locked in the upright position. They are going to send me a spare part as its still under warranty. Apparently its a very common problem as the parts are out of stock at the moment. Its also quite a messy machine and emptying it still gets dust everywhere.
About halfway through the video, you hold it up to the ceiling to get to cobwebs. If you look behind the battery you should find a light green extender in the handle grip.

No they will not replace or fix it upto 2 years after purchase. I have had mine for 12 months and the chassis is worn out and they are refusing to sort it out for me. They said I'm ok to purchase a new chassis at a cost of £70. I've told them I'll go buy another brand. Bloody useless
Thinking of getting a new lawn mower this year before summer?
