Where the Campfire Light Meets the Dark of Night... Founded in 2015 by Virginia Paranormal Investigations, we take you out into the woods along treacherous hikes and scenic trails. Slalakum is all about camping and the love of nature. We love the outdoors and all its splendor as well as all of the mystery and intrigue that it has to offer. Often, our expeditions take us in search of cryptozoological creatures such as Bigfoot. At the end of the day, we can be found beside a campfire talking about legends and lore. We hope you join us on some of these adventures and subscribe to our channel.

Just got this bag (at least I think it's this model) and it seems like they've improved it quite a bit. The velcro for the pistol strap is much bigger on mine, basically from end to end of the wall of the inside of the bag. There's also several integrated mag sleeves across from it instead of that netting material. Haven't gotten all my range goodies to fill it yet but definitely seems spacious enough. You should reach out to DBTAC and see if you can get a copy of the current production bag for a review or something. For 24ish bucks it definitely seems solid. Thanks for your review!

So nice to see my old home. My parents owned it for awhile in the 70s/early 80s. Never thought to try to look it up on RU-vid before. Some things haven’t changed at all. The cabin area used to be tent sites though. The cabin y’all stayed at is where we used to park our personal pop up. The red swing set is still same. Tether ball still there. Used to catch fish at the pond. The path used to go off to the right around half way but never could go easily all the way around. The bridge didn’t go around the pond and yes the back part was part of someone else’s land. You used to be able to take the path back up to the pool area near where you were contemplating going at the pet area. My dad built the game room. I helped put on shingles on the roof. The original one burned down. We had a snack bar but that is unfortunately where the fire started in the middle of the night. The owners after added the pavilion to the front. We had a lot more pinball machines back in the day. So many great memories. Lots of exploring the woods, summers at the pool but hard work too. The bathrooms are completely different! Used to be one of my chores cleaning them! Met many great people!

With all the buzz about the Groove Life I'm surprised this is the only review of this belt I can find on RU-vid. Definitely beats it in value for a 1/3 the price. It's less than $20 dollars on Amazon.

Mine didn’t have a charger either and someone took the gun light and probably sent it back without it. I thought my battery was too big because someone put the regular battery holder & plastic inside the battery area and I kept trying to jam the rechargeable one in there thinking it was the wrong size so thank you a zillion times for going through it! I’ve had this sitting around sing Xmas of this year and I can finally use it :D

I had a good look at this knife today I'm a knife junkie. The steel is of low grade. And the webbing is cheap. The plastic knife sheath is good not best. The sharpening stone has to be run in .to say it works well we don't know top of the stone must be worn in... So before buying or listening to all the stupid talk backs..this knife is not hi quality or custom 01 tool steel. One thing it has going for it. It's a full tang knife. Alot of them are not. And it has a reasonable thickness.some are not. 6 out of ten

My family and I experienced a couple of strange encounters there. The first incident, my daughter saw something that terrified her while we were hiking the lake trail. She said she saw a "hairy monster" in the wooded area just before the dam clearing. She pointed in the direction she saw it and told us it hid behind a tree. I saw what looked like dark brown hair sticking out from behind the tree she was pointing at, but I brushed it off and possible dead foliage so we could continue our hike. Then as we passed the dam clearing, something started pacing us from behind and in the woodline. This continued until we did not feel safe and decided to turn around and leave. Whatever this thing was, it walked bipedal and had heavy steps. It was so strange because you could hear the walking but couldn't see anything in the woodline or behind us. It scared our kids so bad that we had to carry them out. When we had to pass back through the area my daughter spotted the creature. She burried her face into my shoulder, refusing to look around and cried hysterically. The second occurrence happen at the Allegheny Trail (Bear Branch Trailhead). My ex wife and I were about 1/4 mile into our walk when everything became dead silent, then out of nowhere something in the woodline roared/screamed at us. It was so close and loud that it made both of us immediately turn and flee in fear. You could feel the reverberation in your body because it was so close, loud, and deep. Whatever made this sound had to have huge lungs. We were both completely overcome with emotion and felt physical sick when we made it back to the vehicle. I've never heard anything like that in my life. I love that area of WV, but to be honest, I'm on edge any time I visit the location. Both occasions were around Sept-Oct of 2009.

Not bulbs in that lantern they are "mantels". As for bigfoot and the paranormal, I believe that there very well could be a connection with bigfoot and the paranormal. How do you explain the number of accounts of people that find tracks from their camp or tracks from a bigfoot they saw and they follow the footprints just to have them disappear right in front of them?? This has been reported a number of times. Also there are a number of reports of glowing orbs and UFO's before, during and after a bigfoot sighting. There is just too much going on there to just dismiss that possibility. It would explain why it is so hard to come across bigfoot and their bones!!

The people who are looking for bigfoot and are part of a tv show aren't finding him because they need the show to continue for weeks on end to fill their time slot. Those people shouldn't even be recognized in the bigfoot community.

Back in the early 80's I read an article about large rodents in south america that had hollow fur. When it looked right at you you could see it but if it turned 1/4 turn away the fur reflected light and it seemed to disappear. About 8 years ago I saw a video that talked about that rodent and compared it's fur to that of bigfoots fur/hair. They said that bigfoot had the same type of fur/hair and that if it turned the right way could seem like it disappeared. If that is the case it could be right next to you and you would never know it. There are many animals that have a cloaking or camouflage that is beyond what we understand.

Love that you all visited my home town. First Landing (aka Seashore State Park) was a favorite place to take the kids when they were little. Love how you all made this educational, as well as an expedition for Bigfoot. I am fascinated with stories about cryptids. But I don't believe you will run into any in First Landing, because it is a far distance from contiguous woods. You mentioned Virginia Beach being having a big commercial presence. Actually, a huge chunk of Virginia Beach is rural and underdeveloped: Pungo, Creeds, Back Back, Black Water. There are even sections of Kempsville (Stumpy Lake, Elbow Road), that border Chesapeake. It's where the suburbs immediately turn into the country and there are large scopes of contiguous forests that lead to Northwest River and the Great Dismal Swamp. Next time you are down this way, I highly recommend you visity Northwest River, Stumpy Lake, and Dismal Swamp. Both locations have reported sightings and lead into the great wilderness.

To bad the steel is so cheap. Compared to other steels, it is tough due to being so soft, but it doesn't hold an edge very well. For 30-40 bucks it's priced fine if you just plan on taking it camping, but if you are buying this because you want a hardcore survival knife, you can do far better. My 2 cents worth. BTW that knife is NOT full tang. The hammer and the blade are not connected. I watched Joe X cut the handle open on this knife and he confirmed it.

I picked one up today and for the price point $48 at my local WM its definitely worth the money. The knife alone is worth that easily and then you get extras. I have a Gerber Prodigy that has survived an insane amount of work out in the Rockys so if this knife is anything like the Prodigy I'll be very happy. Good review, I enjoyed watching.

Just received mine today (XL size) to use with my Ruger Max-9, a few quick comments: The Velcro grips good, not a problem; I am in Florida so sweating will be an issue but even not using it doesn’t change the sweating; I am not slim at all (250 lbs) but wearing my knit golf polo shirts printing is there at the waist but not bad, if I wear it high with the gun almost under my arm it is hidden, but with button up loose shirts I do not see much printing at all; my belt has the gun pocket (ambidextrous), 2 attached mag holders, a spare pocket (my Galaxy Note 8 with small cover fits it), and an attached spare slim pocket on the opposite side (my Evatac flip-out survival knife just fits). I do not plan on using it for workouts or yard work so all in all I think this will work out fine.
