Certainly a video recorded 22 years ago on a cheap camcorder and digitally compressed multiple times in order to fit into 2008 RU-vid's requirements would be a good judge of an instrument's sound quality.
Never seen this footage of the percussion cam. Man...my allergies. It was an honor to be in the fold and be a part of such good playing and work ethic. This was a great line and a beautiful experience.
The Pinnacle of the McNutt Midwest Era! Incredible drum line that year... you have to be a beast to manage this kind of great playing and carry those doumbeks!!
You would think with all the polymer technology they could design a non-Kevlar head that can have the warmth of Mylar but the punch and clarity of Kevlar. The new system blue snares and the Evans heads are not my cup of tea. The blue coats snare tuning was nice in 2019. I just like that warmth that Mylar produces. But man what a pain keeping tension consistent and heads busting at the most messed up times. I faked it through a few shows back late 80’s early 90’s
