Your channel happened to fall into my recommendations. I wouldn't call myself a veteran player, but as someone who nearly has a 1000 hours into this game, this video brought back my memories of my first playthrough: equally frustrating yet fun due to a lack of understanding of certain mechanics and lots of deaths! You were quite bold to head into Quarry Junction with the current gear; I normally wouldn't head there until I got at least two companions and a unique sniper rifle (Either the Gobi campaign or Christine's). Since I have some experience, there are some tips I want to share but I'm worried about becoming a bit too backseaty. But I will share these two since it's relevant to the issues you experienced here: if you're worried about your weapons not doing enough damage or jamming during reloading, it's because their condition is starting to get really low; so, you're going to have to find a way to repair it. This leads to the second tip: it's a great thing you have Raul by your side! He's a repair man, so all your equipment loses durability 50% slower as long as he's an active companion. He can also fully repair all your equipment at the cost of caps (practically solving all your durability problems), but he can only do this at his shack because that's where his tool set is located. Bonus third (and final for now) tip: what if I were to tell you that Raul's shack is a lot closer to a discovered location than you think? Hint: search Northeast of Vault 34, not too far North and not too far East, observe and follow a cliff face if you have to! Good luck on your playthrough!
You have to learn use the other ammo types. The red shield next to their health bar shows that their armor is negating most if the damage need to switch to armor piercing. When it shows a broken shield I believe you can switch back.
When it shows a broken shield it just means you're penetrating their DT (armor) as in with AP rounds which subtract DT from the target, please don't switch when you see it haha
Did you get the new mission siding machine because you have to do the time campers and all that stuff to actually finish a mission there’s a mission that’s 2.5 I sent you the link
It is and will always be awesome since it has a rich story, quality music, great side quests and variety of environments/places to explore. Awesome vid!
2:48 Your not throwing the propane tanks correctly. And you seem to not have picked that up later on in the video. Jerking them with your mouse is very difficult and it could even be impossible to complete the game with that technique. just "throw" them using the directions it gave you in the bottom right corner. I promise life will be much easier lol. How to do it. Pick up with Right mouse while holding it. Then hold Left mouse(both mouse buttons should be deployed) and then release them with your left mouse button being the first to go.
