I have to admit I love Peakto overall and would like to pick up a copy of version 2.0 before the current discount expires tonight, but keywording is unreliable for me. I've emailed tech support about it a few times now and sent some screen shots and XMP files over for them to look at but have yet to get a reason or explanation of why I'm having issues with it (been playing with the program significantly for the past two weeks and the trial is almost up). I've been adding and removing keywords on multiple different RAW image files and the keyword changes show up correctly in Adobe Bridge, Capture One and ON1 Photo RAW every time, but not in Peakto. Sometimes it shows a few of the keywords only or some keywords that have been deleted elsewhere. So, it looks like I'm going to have to skip Peakto for now and maybe check it out again in a few months.
Hey hi. I'm having a Peakto struggle. Here’s your picture. Cool. Here’s a thousand things you can do with it, yeah… ace. Where is the picture? Nah, not telling. Seriously, I can’t find where or how to access the original. Can we have that at the top of a list pretty please?
Hello! In the grid view, at the bottom, you have a quick access to the image file and the parent folder. The contextual menu also has a Reveal Master in Finder.... Would you want us to put this action at the top...we had some internal discussions about it. What do you think ?
I think to presenters soft spoken nature doesn't lend to the excitement of the new features and make it hard to follow why Peakto is a great app. Would hope to understand how I can use Peakto to cull photos, but its hard to follow.
I have an annual subscription for v1 (bought about 6 months ago) and today received an email offering me 15% off the price for v2 if I download the beta. I checked the links to the website and there is nothing to suggest a current subscriber would include v2 so I assume I will have to pay for both versions going forward. Brings a whole new level to subscription software. No Thanks! Subscription to V1 will be cancelled and I will look elsewhere.
hi. As a subscriber you always have access to the latest release. So v2.0 and all other forthcoming minor and major releases are included in your subscription while it is active. The email was a generic email and was intended to customers having a one-off licence that was purchased more than 1yr ago. Please note that V2.0 is not officially out...and will be officially out in the newt few days. It is however accessible upon request.
I also had it for a year and it was pretty much useless. I was supposed to be able to use it on two computers and I never could login into the second computer and then I couldn’t even login at all. Sorry I ended up subscribing even though I paid for a whole year and never use it.
@@AngelaFletcher-xy3ph A licence entitles you to 2 computers. If you change computers, you can unregister a computer or reset all activations from the app itself. These kinds of registration issues, if they persist, are resolved routinely and swiftly. Did you contact us about it?
Any trick to open the app?. I have downloaded and installed it and the login window requires an email and a password I don't have. The email to download the app did not contain any free trial password. Clicking the start free trial with no email or password takes me on and on to the web page but nothing else. ?¿
Absolutely amazing. Peakto is my go-to for accessing my photo libraries tucked away in so many different places. These improvements make it so much more valuable.
Hello, Thanks for asking. It s a feature that we are currently debating. There are a certain number of things that could be done to: - search for pictures featuring a certain face (identified in another picture) - search for pictures featuring a named person ... but in that case, that would probably require to pick a representation of that person in the form of an image as Peakto Search works by comparing images. One thing that seems to go beyond the current Peakto Search design, at least for now, is to do facial recognition ... We will soon release Peakto V2.0 (not Peakto Search) with a full featured facial recognition. facial recognition requires dedicated user interfaces that would not really correspond to the philosophy of Peakto Search. I hope this makes sense.
@@CymePhotography I'm super eager for full featured Facial Recognition. My use case is family photos in folders. The photos come from scanned film, early digital, current phones, and high resolution digital. Simply put 100 years 100,000 photo, all the different technologies during that time. An excellent facial recognition tool would be most welcome. There are some attempts. Excire does a reasonable job, but it doesn't assign the name to the face, only the image. digiKam's Machine Learning is insufficient, ACDSee cataloging crashes, ImageRanger does pretty well, but again doesn't seem to name the face. I'm eagerly looking format to a real solution.
Hi. Thanks for asking. We are currently thinking about it but the main issue is the performance hit. Currently Peakto Search is fast and does not require any manual editing. Opening the gate to interactive keywording or face annotation changes significantly the user experience. How would you envision the user experience?
Hi Guys, Is there a Duplicate Finder in Peakto ? Is there somewhere I can ask my questions on the CYME Website ? I also tried to sign up with an email for Newsletter > I did not get a confirmation email. At the moment I have a Subscription for Excire Search AI 2024, but Peakto seems to be a combination of Standalone App and Lightroom Classic Plugin, whereas Excire have two separate Apps.
When doing a search for bridge for instance, ... does Peakto automatically add this Keyword to the resulting search images ? or does the user have to do this ?
hi. Thanks for asking. The app is a search app and does not do any annotations. It lets you turn a search result into a selection in LR and from that selection, you could add the keyword easily. We did not introduce any annotation capability yet and are waiting to get some feedback such as yours to understand what would be the best evolutions. For manual keywording we had the impression that LR would be the tool of choice. For star rating at the image level, we wonder if doing if from the search screen would be a desirable feature. One of the complications is that the underlying catalog is not always online....
very impressive, Is it possible to see the file name and location of an image/video in the Peakto window ? if you have not got CaptureOne or Lightroom open
hello. Thanks for asking. We will soon introduce an inspector for the retrieved data, that will give you a quick access to the image/video summary information (EXIF meta, date) and the file location. We'll add standard actions to this information (reveal in Finder, Find images on the same date, etc...) and more.... If if makes sense, we could also add some sharing actions directly from the inspector.
Bonjour, Merci pour ce tutoriel. J'aimerais savoir comment fonctionnent les dossiers surveillés et à quoi ils servent. Merci déjà pour votre réponse...ou une petite vidéo, même si en anglais ;-)
The AI Capabilities are truly magical. Tracks your photos no matter where they are and allows you to work with your preferred editing software. Best Photo Organizer yet!
I love how Peakto analyzes my 133,000 images in multiple locations on different external drives and multiple different software catalogs (in my case capture one, aperture and apple photos). It finds all instances of photos and presents them to you together allowing you to see different editing options you try. The search options are impressive, it allows searching on faces defined by Apple photos and they are also releasing their own facial recognition shortly which will help organize catalogs from software which does not offer face recognition. It handles round trip editing in other software such as pixelmator amazingly smoothly. Try it out- you won’t regret it!
newbie to Peakto after a presentation at the Naples MUG a couple of weeks ago. I am really hopeing it can help me consolidate almost 1M images I have shot for 70 years..
