I actually prefer the original voice version because I could press and hold the talk button until I was finished speaking. This new voice feature constantly interrupts me if I take a microsecond pause when talking. It’s a bit annoying. But I will try your advice on adding an instruction to wait until I prompt it for a response. Thanks for the video.
I actually asked mine to be quiet for a minute or two, it said that it was fine, and that they'd keep quiet. Then it started interrupting after about 30 seconds, and wouldn't stop interrupting after that. But to be reasonable, it's still early days. Overall it's quite amazing.
@@dawnweston-o5o Good point about it being early. But I'm not seeing improvements with the interruptions. And I do give a thumbs down when it does interrupt me a lot, then I select the "Too much interruptions" (or whatever it says) option. So maybe that kind of feedback will help OpenAI improve it. Otherwise, the regular voice is good enough. Also, I've been using the voice record option on the text screen (the microphone button). That way I can record all that I want to say, then send it. But of course, that's on the text-only side of it.
Thanks for the video. 15:59 - you can have more than one custome instruction. You write them all in the same block and reference a specific instruction on the prompt.

sound quality = total garbage. Access to realtime information and events = non existent. Message cap limit = strict. Cost = high. This AI cant hold a candle to PI AI by Inflection that has been out since March 2023.
Another classic case of some guy who hates it because it doesn't fit his exact use case. No other audio model matches this and it is life changing to many out there step off your high horse
There must be a problem with my advanced voice on mobile. Sound quality is poor and it gliches constantly. The older "cove" voice sounds much more convincing too. Hopefully these bugs are ironed out.
I think people should be careful when using it in a business setting. I work for a major corporation that would fire me on the spot, if they thought I was using an external app like chatgpt to listen to a meeting.
I use Croatian language in ChatGpt (paid version) to speak on Serbian language, it is a fantastic even dialect is slightly different. Are there improvement’s on those accents too?

Give it a try again, but ask it a bit different. I was surprised when I tried having it be a language tutor and it corrected me because my tone and pronunciation was off even though I didn't directly ask it to do so. It is very "polite", so it never wants to judge your voice in a way that might make you or someone feel bad about their own voice. If it feels it is helping you learn something it will be more likely to comply with your request.

I am not sure because they really have tried to restrict it from singing. If you get it to sing, a separate filter layer eventually kicks in and makes it say that its guidelines prevent it from talking about that. The previous version was taking your voice converting it to text for the AI, and then taking the AI's text response and converting it to a fake voice. This is true audio input and output. ChatGPT can now understand your tone and inflection, sense sarcasm, emotion, etc. It can also respond accordingly and quickly, as well as be interrupted. The old version felt like walkie-talkie with something like Siri. This feels very close to talking to a human.

Great video! 🙌 The only thing that sucks is the hour per day limit. I guess I got spoiled being one of the very few who got it early (About 3 months ago), and there was no limit at all. I was able to use it all day, every day. I am sure they will raise it, though, just like they did the limit on written chats. 👍

Yes you can. Be careful with it though. It's powerful, alluring and potentially highly profitable. Remember there are real people, and that interaction with people is very important too. But you know that already. You can have fun an be productive with this marvel(of AI in general, not just this product). Looking forward to myself learning more and practicing more.
