I just bought this gun today and it was a fun one to use I had to reside the second floor on the front of my house with cedar shingles and I used this to make sure it fits nice! It worked great I had maybe 1or 2 jams but the coils I got were to long so I had to cut off like 3ft which probably made the coils act up but it did it’s job and quick!
I olny use my 390 on trim and doors and spraying stain or something small. Spraying houses out you really need atleast a 695 just seems too hard on the little 390. I l prefer a 795 after doing it for 9 years straight
@@christianiribe it wasn’t too long, as long as it’s driving to the right depth and not running the compressor constantly I’d say it’s fine but if you think it may be defective I would return it and get another
@@mattgawel4385 it’s driving them fine and I haven’t noticed it running the compressor constantly. I think it might be a Metabo thing because I noticed today that the framing nailers tend to do the same thing.. Just want to make sure it’s not only me or else I’d return it, thanks for the response man!
Great video showing people what to expect. First thing I do with nailers, and *some* other tools, is remove plastic "cosmetic" items that have zero function. And while this is a decent little brad shooter, ($50, with case and Bobo glasses on Amazon currently. I got 1 just to have as a backup.) it's not a good brad. It will work for some DIY things, but it's not meant for heavy use. So if you get 5k nails through it, and it dies, you got your money's worth. Also... NONE of the Metabo, or Metabo HPT, are anywhere near as good as the Hitachi brand was. :( I do miss some of the older Hitachi Tools. They were great for abusing them, and rarely failing. So many tool brands have started to RAPIDLY decline. The most notable for me have been Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Paslode. Thankfully Makita is still strong, and Bosch has improved 100% over their last few years.... especially with redoing their battery for cordless tools. * - With Metabo HPT, if you want to use the warranty, make certain you only use Metabo Pnuematic oil. They can be a bit... tough... to deal with and will look for ways to null warranty if you mail it in. Then again... if this nailer breaks, grab another one and use this for parts. Lol.
You need to retitle your post more accurately.... It was about spraying drylock paint... Almost nothing to do with the Graco 390......plus posting all your follies, makes you look like an inexperienced "builder".....not good for business.
From the Great Northwest public Duck Blind to test a roofing gun you must shoot the smallest nail you can buy the 7/8 tell me if it shoots flat into that shingle or it turns in the barrel of that gun and shoots cricket there's not a roofing gun on the market that shoots a flat nail the only one I seen and do use Senco coil nailer with a goat's toe
So the second pair is Corcoran model 4390 it appears to be discontinued which I didn't know. I'm seeing some for sale on eBay but that's about it. Sorry!

Too much pressure was being built-up at the 60 mesh filter/ gun do to the thick material. Thus causing the filter to bust. Don't run drylock through a 390. You need at least a 595. All about pump power
That pump size you have won't work with Drylok. It is too thick of a product. The reason you are getting the spit is because it is not picking the product up and getting it to the gun. You are getting a remnant of it coming through and it is clogging the the system and barely getting through the gun. You need a bigger pump with more horsepower. Call Graco and see what they recommend. Plus I wouldn't want to ruin any new pump with Drylok. That product is ok but kind of on the more value end of the quality spectrum. So an expensive pump ruined by a cheap product doesn't add up. If you have a drywall texture hopper and an air compressor it works better and it's cheaper if you ruin that.
I have this exact situation going on right now I have the same sprayer and I'm also going to be spraying drylok did you ever get any answers as to why it was not working correctly
Yes I did- it won't work, Drylok is too thick and abrasive. I was told I need a different sprayer or to use something thinner like the Loxon from sherwin-williams
Paslode can stick it up there arse. Had these guns for 25 yrs and I'm so over them. I will never buys an other one. Always miss fires when you need it most. And if you don't service it...it stops working. And the gas sinks really bad. Now I have a gasless framing gun. No service required and has never ever missed fired. I will never ever look at a stinking paslode framing gun again.
