I really liked the first book, the opening was full of exposition sure, but it was told to us through the character. The opening of this book however, has just been depressing and kind of cliche. Rand pushing his friends away and a wicked “good guy” trying to turn the keep against our hero’s just leaves me feeling like I’m slogging through listening to the story to get to a part that I haven’t seen in countless stories before. I’m still more than excited to keep listening, but it does make it feel almost burdening
