Clark never let Lois break up with him. Right here she tries ad Clark stops her, he listens and learns that she is looking for always and forever. Instead of letting her leave Clark affirms to her that he is committed to always and forever with Lois. Lois asks if he means it ad Clark affirms that he does mean it. Clark is telling the truth. You can tell in the kiss they share. Clark feels very understood, very close to Lois in that kiss. Because as Clark says... Lois can see right through his soul.
Clark is emotionally evolved man, capable of handling a woman's emotions! He was so sensitive toward this hyperemotional version of Lois. Hehe, definitely made me picture Clark being able to handle Lois' pregnancy mood swings in the future!! <3 Awwh!
