"and then we brought in Troy Van Leeuwen and that was a perfect match" O H THE GUY FROM FAILURE AND A PERFECT CIRCLE WAS A PERFECT MATCH FOR CHELSEA WOLFE? yeah i agree...... holy shit that is serious QUEEN shit.
You sir have a excellent taste,my whole life i was into heavy rock metal music,as i grow older somehow i lost my passion when i look around how much bullshit those bands selling out just for the buck, frase "stick it to the man" got lost and flame went down, then i discovered Pagan Altar,Cirith Ungol and Trouble,i was blowned away,i flew in realms between time and space especially with Altar, finally i found real deal, bad thing is im from Europe and im not a wealthy man so any kind of merch purchasing is gonna cost me double due to shipping and shit but i ordered some LP's cause fuck it,it's worth it
at the end chuck didn't hurt Masvidal about the gay factor. just said You don't know your own sexuality, please don't judge my way to be. thats all what he said.
Hot take: Type o Negative is not metal. Fucking great band, my favorite band since I heard them 25 years ago (proud to say I was in the top 1% of their listeners on Spotify this year), but I don't think they're a metal band.
Not a hot take, I agree with you. And I am sure Peter would have laughed if you call Type o a Metal band. First and foremost they were a pure rock band, just with very dark/gothic themes. Peter loved Sabbath and much more the Beatles, which may sound strange. Thats were Type o came from.
They toured with the metal bands in the 90s, they were part of the original OzzFest with Sabbath and Pantera, they were on RoadRunner records which is for metal bands. I say they're metal, but I get what you are saying.....
Growing up with Chris and going to high school with him and being in the first three bands he was in was a great experience especially burnt offering and doing the Frightmare demo have some really funny stories when we were all teenagers
Having witnessed the madness that were Medulla Nocte in Trillians,Newcastle circa '99-2000 with Underule and Stampin' Ground,I'd never seen a more chaotic and furious performance.Blew my mind completely.
Exuvia is one of my favorite records from ROB. He rules hard! Im just finding Dread Sovereign but am a big fan of Primordial. Great podcast btw man\,,/,
How does thia channel have such a small following? Honestly the only decent interview channel on yt that focuses on metal/alternative. Interesting, mature, not ass licking... Keep it up. Cheers
Good job on the interview. It's good to see their view on the approach they took on this album. I, too, find it "soothing" for a death metal album. And I sense the ray of light that comes from Idol.
