Great information. Thank you very much. one question: is a wide angle lens necessary? I plan to have 200- 500 mm lens for a Dx camera and a 28 -300 mm lens for a full frame camera. But I don't plan to switch lenses while gaming. I can pack a 18 -35 mm lens, but how likely I would have a chance to use it? Thank you very much !!!
The other thing about batteries is they will lose life if they get cold.. so you will want to put spares somewhere snug inside your pack and not in any of your outer pockets.
this brought memories back when I did this Inca Trail back in the days.. what an AMAZING adventure, congrats Daniel to capturing this in such a beautiful way!!
Hi Irina. Good question. Every season has its pros and cons however most people favor the two dry seasons - mid December to mid-March and June to October.
That was a hike on steroids. But every new reveal made it worthwhile. Well done Daniel and the team for walking the trail , and an excellent video. Loved the footage .
Hi Paul, Great to hear you're gearing up for the Inca Trail! To start preparing, focus on building your endurance with regular hikes and runs, incorporating elevation and stair climbing to mimic trail conditions. Strength training, particularly for your legs and core, will also be beneficial. Remember to stay hydrated and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts. If you'd like a more detailed training plan, one of our assistants would be happy to chat with you. Just let us know! Best, The Follow Alice Team
Our pleasure James. If you are looking for a climb operator, feel free to check out our Kilimanjaro itineraries on our website: followalice.com/adventure-trips/climb-kilimanjaro Our team is always here to help and support you if necessary:)
Soroche (altitude sickness):" three days in Cusco. Two isn't enough for some people. Mosquitos - there are invisible mosqui's that go for your ankles and calves. Do not wear shorts in the high Andes, do wear long socks, and carry tubes of anti-inflammatory cream. You wake up in the middle of the night maybe two nights after with your skin on fire and the irresistible urge to scratch yourself bloody. Also, Aiice, you can get a cheap, military-grade poncho at various shops close to the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. They won't fall apart.
