Hi I'm Allie! I'm a Canadian amateur illustrator who mainly focuses on digital, gouache, and watercolour art. My channel consists of art tutorials and anything crafty that I feel like doing :). Follow me on instagram @alliepro52
I just bought my cinch from Michaels with a 50% off coupon. It cost me 39.99 USD. It's mindboggling to me that less than a year ago it was retailing for over $100.
Clear and helpful video, thanks for sharing. It’s a great little machine but really bad that they don’t include any words to get you started. You’re essentially buying a useless machine if it doesn’t work out of the box.
Nice lesson. I know RU-vid art teachers are trending with speeding up their lessons, and with music that puts everybody to sleep, but my advice is don’t speed it up and leave off the music. Listen to some of the pros. They don’t use music. They just teach the lesson quietly. We all have our own music that helps us concentrate. Also, if you keep turning your music on and off during your lesson, most serious students are turning your lesson off. It’s way too distracting. Artists need to access the right brain.
This was just lovely! I don't usually comment, but the extra detailing you took time out to explain and to show was just so kind of you.... Very well done
Great video. I JUST bought the Mini Cinch at Michael’s 40% off coupon brought it to about $50. I had additional 20% for the binding wires and other items I bought. No one in the store knew anything about it or how to use it. One associate suggested RU-vid so I looked you up. I don’t make journals to sell but I love making books for friends and myself. My first plan is to make a “book” of calendar pictures with Scriptures for a friend who likes that type of thing. I will most likely layer the pictures onto card stock in odder to cover the calendar grid on the back side. OR I could put two pictures back to back… not sure yet. I have multiple sized calendar pages so I’ve got some “creative crafting” to do, but that’s half the fun!
Thank you for this informative video. I watched a few and they were not as helpful as yours. I am making recipe cards for Christmas and found maybe I should've bought the bigger one but I'm not sure how often I'd use it after this gift. Nice job!
I ordered the bigger cinch last night and even though I know it won’t be as worth it since I’m not planning to sell art and craft works anymore for the moment… I enjoy buying these tools that let me create what I want. I’m glad you showed it with the watercolour paper as I bought mine specifically to make sketch books with a mixture of heavy weight paper I like in a number of different sizes as well. This helped me understand that I will only be able to do a few sheets at a time and how long it could take to make a sketch book with that many pages. Also planning to create some portable travel journals and itinerary plans for my trip in a few months
Super cute! I got this mini and the big cinch, i prefer this mini version as I don’t do a lot of craft and the big one took too much space. Also the big version has a little edge right where your papers slide in for punching, so if you don’t pay close attention and make sure the paper go all the way in, you would end up wasting some as it would be misaligned. I don’t have that issue with the mini.
That's good to know I have both and I have the same issue with kid it is not lined up exactly right. Every time you have to double check so you don't waste your paper.
I’ve been binge watching watercolor videos recently and have never seen one with all the “extras” I’m definitely subscribing 🏃♀️ and want to let you know I really appreciate how well you explain everything and how unique all the examples and details! ❤
