We are a husband and wife, slow traveling the world while working remotely as digital nomads.
Originally, Lauza is from Uzbekistan and Michael is from Austria, we met in Dubai and married in July 2007. We lived in Moscow, Vienna and for 11+ years in London.
Travel was always something very important to us and after Michael changed his profession from architect to programmer somewhere around 2011-12, we worked towards the possibility of being location independent to be able to travel more.
At the end of 2019 we asked ourselves what's holding us back from traveling full time, and the answer was "only our rented apartment in London", so we decided to hand in the notice to our landlord, booked a one way flight to Lisbon and left home with 2 carry-on bags on February 28, 2020.
We created this RU-vid channel to document our journey for ourselves and hopefully inspire you to make changes in your life, to do what you love.
Decided to pop back to your channel as I used to binge-watch your videos. Would be great to get an update as to how you’re both doing, hope you’re keeping well! <3
I love watching your videos. All so natural and always appreciative of what the islands has to offer. I was born in São Miguel island and living in the US over 40 years. But God willing soon I'll be moving back. Thank you again for all the hard work of filming and editing. Paulo.
Love watching your videos.❤ We are going to move to Sao Miguel later this year! Can’t wait to move to this beautiful island! Greetings from the Netherlands 👋🏼
@@LauzaAndMichaelglad to hear that, I am planning mu trip to Madeira next summer and I really liked the hike you did and I will definitely do it myself😍
Hi Lauza and Michael, I have watched a number of your videos and love your content. I absolutely love Madeira and have been there 3 times, going again next year for 4 weeks. So your videos bring back a lot of fantastic memories; I have done a few levada hikes in the rain. BTW, I am originally from Austria, just liike Michael, but have been living in Canada for a really long time. It's great that you created this interesting lifestyle for yourselves. All the best to you!
Hello there, I hope you guys are doing well, I recently moved to Madeira, My daughter and I have been on a couple of trails, and it seems like it is better to go with a group, so I was wondering if you can put us in touch with the group that you guys go hiking with please. Thank you so much!.
Hey, sorry for the late reply. You can find the group that we joined on Facebook (Passeio de Amigos/ Walking With Friends) - facebook.com/groups/709929883336924
Thanks guys I'm staying at Caju Hotel for 3 weeks next April and can't wait to have my breakfast. I'm 75 and live in Hastings, England. It will be my 1st visit to Madeira.
Thank you. That’s a very good question and there is no real good reason. But after that we took the opportunity to swim in every lagoon that we have visited. Not missing those opportunities again!

Each island has it's own character so we can't really compare them. Azores is cooler, rainier and more wet and therefore lusher green. We definitely want to get back to the Azores as it's a nature lovers paradise, but for living we prefer Madeira.
Remote work is becoming more important and that makes remote locations more and more popular but expensive. Memories of your followers of Gran Canaria.
You two have very good English. As an American I really appreciate that a lot. As of now I don't even speak Portuguese but mainly French, some Spanish. Very good video!
I loved all your vlog in the island of São Miguel it was very instructive, we are going in end of July for one week and I would like to know the top activity not to miss can you tell me yours? Thanks ❤
