Kam Does Stuff is a channel for the anyone who likes building cars and trucks. Lots of the work in done on a driveway with basic tools, showing that if you want it bad enough you can make it happen.
Just did this mod on my 2018 and the center console squeaks so bad its driving me insane. About to have to install some foam between the console and dash
@@Kamdoesstuff no didnt get the bracket. The junkyard pulled it with the bottom brackets, all the rubber trims, and all the 12v socket caps. So the condition was too nice and too complete to complain much, but the bracket is harder to find by itself
@@Kamdoesstuff some high density foam between the plastic should hold me over until i can find the front bracket in another pull-your-own parts yard. The console is as perfect condition as i could ever hope for so i consider it a big win
Just found your build and binged watched it all. I have a similar idea I’m going attempt for my C20, it’s going to be more mild so I can tow and stuff. But great work so far👍🏻
I believe this is the harness. www.amazon.com/LLYZFED-Console-Conversion-Chevrolet-Silverado/dp/B0CQ4ZBNZ2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2IDBIK1EDGPM2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.w2ouMH76LSuPtXWcefPxMd6cGvqu8FPtzasYBBrovWzOMl6JfoRHLwUVoA9MM9PlHd24jWQO-UufBO6VvNN8b0wHZBEJNFwHSyotWj9GMdiDjYh6hBHedCdCTcATNCjq356QLO2_pab5mqBVvMKGuGX1tdM5GuoImYu5ByPfNa3vweoEaW5Bcu6ZPx7rMj22JNaOFeBNb51Bxminw8PyX5J8ZHkLfsPoH9ZLICAmuuM.mxWnP90AYfjXBaTeepb40eTNfGbw0ug348Ls1B8-lqw&dib_tag=se&keywords=silverado+console+swap+harness&qid=1715806799&sprefix=Silverado+console+swap+har%2Caps%2C205&sr=8-1 In the 2017 Silverado, you have to be plugged in to make the apple carplay work. I bought a Bluetooth adapter that allows it to be wireless.

Thank god! I’ve been looking everywhere for this part! Went to all the dealerships/ mechanic shops and hundreds of videos later someone actually has what I’ve been searching for!!!
While you've got the rear cover off, replace the stock dog bone in the oil galley. If you're building it for "spirited romps," you'll thank me later. If you don't, all that time and money is wasted. Also put the second keeper on the pickup tube.
Thanks! Great info, I did not replace those and already sealed everything up. I'm not going to boost it at all and so I'm not super worried, but on my next build I will replace both.
i think that tank is 1973 and newer, 1967 to 1972 k 5 blazer is a little smaller and they make a install kit for about $350.00 complete and you dont have to take out the frame crossmembers just the one for the spare tire, doing the same thing to my 1972 C10 !
Yes I would buy again, but these were the only fiberglass fenders I could find for my year truck. I’m going to custom flare the bedside because they don’t make fiberglass bedsides for this year c10. So stay tuned for that! I cut the stock skin off kept the inner support. Overall they fit good!
I went with the leaf spring because they are cheaper then a 4 link. And the stock trailing arms did not allow me to run the bypass shocks because the cross under the frame and don’t leave you space to mount aftermarket shocks.
Hey sorry for the late response. I wish they were wider too. They were the only ones I could find for this year C10. Over all they fit well and need little trimming.
