Excuse the off topic comment, but I couldn't help continously make eye contact with that star pillow on your sofa. Do you sell that one as well? I checked your shop and sadly couldn't find it :(
Hello Sugar! These are currently sample plushies I’m wanting to possibly look into a kickstarter next year when I have things a bit more ✨refined✨I’ll keep it all updated on my instagram if you’re interested 🫶🏻
Shit goes bad sometimes but it will go up again. I will absolutely pay for kickstarter moo and chickner and maybe star and I will keep buying plushies. Make sure your business stays alive because I need these lil guys 🥺
I am staying as positive as I can but I’m very aware that this is not an isolated event so many others are struggling and I’m hoping everyone who is in a similar situation is getting support from loved ones. I am HOPING to look at Kickstarter next year maybe March April time 🫶🏻🥰 thank you for the support Gasket!
Depressingly I think everyone is in a similar position right now (that sounds demeaning but I mean as I am also really struggling) as I also saw a lot of your work as "official" or top of the ladder and have wanted to get your newer stuff since getting my own munch. but like you say even people you thing are more successful are struggling too.... the worlds horrors persist BUT SO DO WE (sadly) ALSO REAL at the end. no-one can get a job, yet work places are struggling with staff..... LIKE WHAT?????
Everyone is in the same boat right now which brings comfort but also makes me really sad. Fingers crossed I can find a part time job soon 🤞 I hope you’re doing well and please take care of yourself 🫶🏻
The same thing happened to me 🥺😢 I painted kittens for a 6-year-old girl's birthday, It took me 4 months of work, there were a lot of kitties and details, on delivery day I thought of applying varnish, a bad idea because everything ran away!!! I was shocked, I couldn't believe that my work of 4 months was gone in a second... The kittens' faces looked soo melted, they were very scary, and in 20 minutes I had to repaint the faces super quickly 😣 It didn't turn out as I expected, but I learned a lot of things and ... the girl didn't call me again 😅
Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that! 4 months?! Oh my gosh that’s so much time! I’ve recently bought spray varnish instead of liquid as I don’t want it to happen again. Plus I’m going to wait a week for the acrylic to dry I’m not taking any chances! 😂
I actually have this single piece of artwork that I have been redrawing every year since 2014. The progression I see when I look at all the years is incredible.
C’mon, 8 inches for a canvas board? That’s wayyy too big, I’d say less than half of that is more than enough, perfect in fact, above average definitely, just as much as you’d ever need for a canvas board imo-
God forbid you'd be able to live your life without having to work and be able to enjoy having a family, hobbies, and being able to work to occupy time and make some extra money instead of being forced to be an income tax cow for the government. Shit attitude dude
@@maddielockwood Then you may want to get an EMF filter chip for your phone. Wi-fi is too close to the frequencies our brains use. That is causing serious problems with millions of people. Yes, insidious indeed.
It's too late, people. There is no stopping it. "Artists" are not a protected class. AI is coming for everybody's job in time, including artists. You're not exempt. The machines will continue to encroach, faster and faster. Connect the dots. There is nothing a human can do that AI won't be able to do better, faster, and cheaper. That's just the facts. The old ways are done. We're in transition between what we've always known to a very vague and incomprehensibly different and likely unrecognizable future.
For now AI can’t actually think for itself in terms of creativity it has to be given art made by us. If artists were to be removed entirely it could only work with what it’s been given. I think we are okay for now. Until AI can completely think of art for itself we shouldn’t worry :)
@@maddielockwood "For now". Key phrase. And, now isn't very long. There is an AI movie coming that is proof positive of just how far the tech has come in the blink of an eye. It's already doing music and movies at a level inconceivable only a few years ago.
Some people use art for status yes but some people enjoy it and want to make a living out of it. Art is everywhere whether you’ve gone into a farm shop and there’s prints on kitchen towels. These designs are made by people who are passionate about it. I think people would be freaking out more if AI could take over sports jobs (obviously a lot more complicated) sadly artists are seen as throw aways and I truly stand by art should be human. AI should be doing my laundry not take my job :)
Definitely promote your businesses on every single platform you can. Not sure if it’s illegal, but you can say that some pins are limited edition and will stay there for a limited amount of time, so people rush to get it
Yeah real unfortunate about the etsy thing going ugh, I really liked shopping there sigh. Still will to try and support the artists that sell through the platform but will just be more difficult navigating the site with AI stuff being a part of the listings. Anyway your work is so cute + pleasant ! Unfortunately unable to support monetarily atm, I did just follow your Patreon though (:
