I have way too many manga I can recommend but wouldn't want to make a crazy long comment. I get the feeling you're not into dark and gritty Seinen, so I'll recommend Land of the Lustrous, Hell's Paradise, and Spirit Circle if you haven't read them. Oh and obviously One Piece!!!
Thanks so much! 😊 I've been thinking of making a reading vlog of One Piece! 😂 Like on a boat 🚢 and everything! But it's sooooo longggg! It's definitely a commitment. And I've had my eye on Hell's Paradise for a while now so happy it has your tick of approval and I'll definitely check the others out 😃
I added MARS on my list 👀 now I'm really curious about it. Also thank you for the review for Shortcake cake, i have seen it a lot after the boom with A sign of affection but i haven't seen many reviews, just people buying it 😂
🥹🩷 MARS! is just pure amazing. You definitely have to read it. And yay! Another Shortcake cake fan? I loved it! I think it's very underrated. I love the super hidden gems 😍
@@vibrain16 ohh, really?? It's nothing new or ground breaking in its genre but I haven't heard much negativity. I think it's because of the "I use girls" thing but I'm certain that's there so it can be explored and to give the character a chance to grow, learn and change for character development. I haven't started it yet so I'm not 100% certain but it's on my next chapter read so I'll let you know how I go 😊 if it's something you think you'd like just pick it up 🩷
Ohhhhh please do check out Gazing at the Star Next Door! I think it will be exactly what you're looking for. The male and female leads are longtime childhood friends, and at some point (a little before the story begins) he starts modeling, which leads to his first acting gig. I am not a big follower of idol/celeb culture either and those setups often put me off in manga, but "down to earth" and grounded are exactly how I'd describe these characters and their relationship development, as they both navigate what it means to be (or be close to) someone in the spotlight. Probably the best, most convincing depiction of childhood friends I've seen in manga💗
Your whole description has just made me want to read this right now! 😍 I do love a "childhood friend's" trope! Are you up to date with the chapter releases? I'll check back in once I've read the first chapter 😆🩷
Hooray, I'm glad to hear it! I keep up with the series in Japanese, but only the volume releases (and I also read the English release from Kodansha)! I don't think my heart could take it one chapter at a time for this series... I need a good long chunk of time with the characters, even if it means a longer wait between 🥹 (I can always reread and flip through old volumes when I miss them!)
@@lysb wow, you've impressed me! you even read them in Japanese!? awesome! is your native language English? and I know what you mean because my favourite way to read manga is just all at once!!! where I can just practically live with the characters for a massive chunk of time :D
@@theotakureport_ Haha, yes, I'm an (american) English-speaker! I took a couple years of Japanese language classes in university. I didn't keep up the study on my own (other than reading manga) so I can't claim my Japanese ability is fluent, even just reading ability, but it does well enough to get me by with most shoujo manga in contemporary settings :)
@@lysb wow 😲 that's so awesome! I tried to self learn by myself for a few years but I didn't have the discipline to keep up with it. And OMG!! I started Gazing at the star next door last night and it kept me up all night because I just couldn't stop reading!!! 😍🤩 It's soooo good!! The squealing girly girl definitely came out! So cute 🥹

Maximum continues the story. It is not a special version. There will be six books in total. One book for Trigun and five books for Maximum. Of course, Trigun fans should know this already.
@@deadpool3581 thanks so much! It's on my very long tbr list!! Do you think I can just jump straight in or are there other series that might be good to read first to ease me into the genre?
September and October this year promises to be a bombardment of new anime and manga with the final volume of Boruto that came out and I now have all of that series. I’m super excited for Two Blue Vortex to begin. I also got the recently released Second volume of the Sasuke’s Story manga, which is also great to add to the collection. I managed to get the Deluxe Edition of Trigun the other day and I love it. It’s super cool. Nice to have the original manga in Deluxe Edition form and I can’t wait for the rest. I’ve got tons of mangas already, so adding this to the collection is really exciting, especially since I’ve been a fan of the original 90’s anime for a few years now and the movie that came along with it. We’re also getting the Memorial Editions of Berserk on Blu-Ray, the first part of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Trigun: Stampede, Dragon Ball Daima will be starting and the next season of the new Rurouni Kenshin anime, so I’m so unbelievably excited for all of it. The first Deluxe Edition of Trigun: Maximum will be out in October and I can’t wait for all of that.
Wow! 😆. So happy to read all about the manga that you have and are also excited for. What's Two Blue Vortex? Oh 😎 cool! About grabbing a Trigun hardcover. How is the quality? Anything that you'd change?
@@theotakureport_ Two Blue Vortex is the second part of Boruto with him being older and having trained with Sasuke and has returned to the village to save it. It’s a monthly manga that Kishimoto’s writing and it’s something I look forward to every single month. The manga volumes will be coming out next year. As for the Trigun Deluxe Editions, the quality has improved immensely with things like the shading being far better, the coloured pages being absolutely gorgeous on huge paper and the panelling is easier to follow because it could sometimes feel a bit chaotic at time.
@@danielmoloney7465 that's so good!! I'm glad that with all of these new hardcover editions that the paper quality is getting nice and fancy for hardcore collectors because they last so much longer! yellowing decreases and tearing tends to happen less 😄 but I still love a good low quality manga paper 🤣 how many coloured pages in the special editions?
@@theotakureport_ On the back are four coloured pages, one of which is a double page spread that looks amazing. There’s some others that are black and white but they’re on the same kind of paper. They mainly use the covers of the mangas like with the Berserk Deluxe Editions.
1. God USOPP is not annoying. 2. Deku is ruined by his community like his anime. 3. Mahito is meant to be hated so it makes sense. 4. The guy is down bad so fair. 5. Boruto both the character and the anime suck.
Hm, well, there is "Konosuba", "that time I got reincarnated as a slime", "Mushoku Tensei", "Re-zero", "Over lord", "Tanya the evil", and "eminence in shadow". They are all great shows for different reasons so have fun.
@@Toya17 ah there are too many to choose from I love Fullmetal alchemist, Code Geass, Broken Blade but also love a good drama like Peach girl and Clannad.
Of course this one sends but not the other 7 attempts 😭😭😭 LIST: ehsuga, lvvvndr, crestilas, unkaiserkun, blueakrasia, felix.aeproject, viko.xpp, ayuhei2 and aysuoka
@@elli3xnzy haha 😆 sorry, maybe you can point me in a better direction? Maybe the really popular ones were extremely over-rated and there are some underground editors out there who really deserve more credit for their skills but instead are just lost in the black hole that is TikToks algorithm.
@@theotakureport_ what is going on, the comments i edited disappeared after I added the list on the end, I'm so confused uhm since I don't know which ones r causing it I'll js do a couple I want u to see, @ehsuga, @lvvvndr, @blueakrasia, @aysuoka
eye technique from naruto is way better than quirk. eye technique has way better choices. if u choose quirk u are just meat riding. imagine getting a quirk that give u the power to extend your neck😂😂😂
I'm a My Hero Academia fan and i don't hate you for not liking it :D i heard Naruto is a good one and i might watch it soon too! Plus with the fandom of My Hero i get why you hate it- :P
Thanks 😆 I won't hate you for liking MHA either 😉 as long as you don't tell me Deku is your favourite character! It's good, but long! 😮💨 Haha what is it with MHA's fandom?
Personally taking the switch from dub to sub is an incredible difference you can really see and hear the caracter showing there true emotions and the cast 100x better highly recommended taking the switch it almost becomes a first language after a couple episodes
