I'm in SE Michigan. The last couple weeks my go to lures are the Bronco Blade with a smaller Indiana blade and 2.2 karma minnow or a Jackworm with a 1/64 nail weight jammed in the front and a #2 EWG hook. I'm loving your rod by the way. It's sensitive enough for a 3" panfish and strong enough for a 16" bass. I'm loving it.
My last outing I couldn’t catch anything until I bottom crawled a Daingerous swim bait and landed a spawned out 2 1/2 lber. Was the only fish I caught but got hit two more times before I had to leave. How are y’all liking that kestrel rod? Would you pick it or the dobyns for bfs t rigs and micro jigs?
@@paulglass7268 awesome! Is there a big difference in sensitivity or does that matter much since the rods are so light in power that the rods deflect so easily when you get a bite?
Pro tip: if you buy two buzbe thin basics; one as a terminal, and one for hard baits (in my case BFS and misc terminal), you'll be left enough spacers for the terminal to divide each individual square. Admittedly, I use Ryugi hook wallets for the larger specialized terminal, and so i cut out the cardboard backing in each zip divider for ease of re ordering.
Right now I have a Micro-Texas rig with a Burro Bug. Slooooow dragging it is sometimes the only thing that works. Unless they take it on the initial drop.
I'm traveling to the Caribbean and I can't find a 2 piece surf/inshore rod that could fit on my large suitcase. 🎣😭 I do have a fly fishing rod case but is for a 3 piece rod. I might fish with the line spool into a soda can.
I have this same setup and I litterely have “0”water in mine. And believe me I would be screaming bloody murder if I had any water coming from in. This was a huge fear of mine after I made my purchase but took the leap of faith. It’s bone dry!
@@aaanglers I have a Power Queen 100ah mini in the battery box behind the seat for the Motor Guids,a 16x16 Yakattack Blackpak Pro thats pretty full in the tank well area and a small 10ah Dakota Lithium inside the hatch in front to power my Lowrance graph and thats it. Just some light items in the front also. I weigh about 165lbs. No fancy scuppers just made sure the front factory scuppers were pushed in just below the top edge of the hole. But if you are sure that the water is coming in from the drive hole cover itself I would make sure and check to see if that gasket around the cover is there which Iam sure you already did. Had it out yesterday in a pretty windy day and no water at all on my floor. I notice that Greg Blanchard also has alot of water on the floor of his Titan X 10.5 which I commented about and was told that it is probably from alot of weight up front of the kayak. Some guys have used windshield rubber gasket around that drive hole cover to help with sealing that area off,I didnt feel I needed to try that. I also like having my pedal drive in when I am also using my XI3,it gives me more options. Also, if its not coming in from that drive hole make sure that the scuppers are pushed in far enough even past the edge of the hole, just make sure you dont push them all the way thru.
Hey look up notch hat. I see you adjusting your hat they have a notch out of the bill so your sunglasses fit in there. Not an ad or anything I just love the product
Anyone else not only specifically go BFS when out on the bank? I'll always be a backpack guy because im bringing my BFS, my medium crankbait rod, and either a medium heavy or a medium spinning rod. Very rarely do i just leave with BFS. Some days the BFS is hitting but other days its 1/2oz jig heads and crankbait/jerkbait vibes. Its 50lb backpack life for me. Too many times i've been out on the water and been like "DAM! I knew i shouldve brough that 3600/3700 with my ___ in it"
I am excited that the Kayak Adventure Series is in my hometown. I can't fish it though because I have already been on the water more than allowed for "pre-fishing". I camped on the White River this past week and spent our days kayaking with the kids. I'm not a tournament fisherman anyway so it doesn't matter but I might have joined for the heck of it and to give the event some support. I'll definitely be stopping by.
Dang I just picked up an Hobie outback from the local river sports out here. The price was great and they were pretty confident for what I plan on doing water and use it would be good for me. Edit lol now I’m worried
