So when a car does have traction and abs customization, when you press those buttons, does something come up on the UI to tell you that a change is being made?
@@Foppalainen82 I had the CX3, the Rexin blows it out the water, the CX3 feels very cheap in comparison and the screen is way too small, the Rexin feels like quality, I’d say the grips are the best on the market, u really can’t compare the 2 wheels, they are completely different, CX3 is like a Toy, the Rexin is solid and feels like money well spent
@@SURG3NTThanks! Makes my decision easier! I kinda suspected this 😄One question, do you know if the shifters are adjustable? On the images Ive seen, there seem to be some holes that suggests you can adjust them?
@@Foppalainen82 you won’t regret the Rexin over the CX3, it’s night and day pal, and I’m being completely honest as I’ve owned both of them, and yes the Shift carbon paddles can be adjusted to 3 different positions as in length, the 2 upper rear paddles can be adjusted to 2 positions,
@@SURG3NT Thank you! 🙏 Ive been looking for reviews or someone to share their opinion. It really looks quite awesome and have all the features I want. Going to order it! :)
Question, I'm having issues when it comes to mapping the buttons on the steering wheel. I select a function and it registers on the settings menu but not in game. Would you know a fix for this?
It's a personal thing 😅 Some wheels would have them written on. Like PIT, or Brake etc. up to you whether you map your brakes/limiter to it, or press to chat. What ever you feel like/is intuitive.
Thanks Jonathan. I ended up stepping away from the company I was with to start my own. We’ve been working hard at it so I just wanted to say thank you for your comment. If you have any questions about iRacing or the sim, we are here for you.
Man I've been fighting dust and cat hair my entire life lol. I try my best but it's a loosing battle. I'll try harder now that I've watched this video lol. Great Tips!
And anyone wanting to map more functions then buttons on the wheel can dedicate one button as a 2nd function button. For example you can map ignition to a button and then using your second function button map start to the same button as ignition. Press ignition button then press 2nd button-ignition button for engine start. I have many 2nd function features. You can go wild with 3rd, 4th etc if you want but I think 2nd function is sufficient. Use a button box or streamdeck if you want more functions.
Thank you good sir, i just did my first f4 race yesterday and was thinking about it right now and decided to youtube search it instead of fumbling around trying tk find it so thank you
Corrupted updates from not powering pc? 😂 Jeeezusfak And emi is fixed by grounding not cable management. Blowing dust with canned air will just resettle it around and not clean. Im sorry for everyone who had misfortune to have you on support call.
@@Racing_Simulator_Support then stop with blatant fraud/misinformation and people like me will go away. Makes sense tho to hide behind "mental disease" when confronted, basic victimism.
I'm glad that Jose mentioned ergonomics and comfort. It has taken me years to realize how much seating position and my posture can effect my performance.
I clearly remember the race at Watkins Glen. My lower back was destroyed after 45 minutes in the Playseat F1 chair. I think it was that week that I started building my current rig.
The ghostcar is not useful unless you're playing with friends cos it's usually just optop of you and distracting. However, something that made the ghostcar actually really fun and useful (makes track learning much faster) for me in practice was to set an offset. Sets your ghost up the road by X amount. e.g. at 0.4s you can see what they're doing into the next corner and can try something else to see if you gain on them. Also just that feeling of trying to catch up to him (you) does something to you to make you drive/learn faster. To offset your ghostcar " -go do Documents, open iRacing folder -open the app.ini file in notepad. -scroll down about 3/4 the way to the [SplitsDeltas] section -here there will be a line ghostCarOffsetSec=0.000000 if you want a 1 sec offset, change the number value to 1.0, half second 0.5, etc -save and done! Your ghost car will now "start" 1 second (or a value of your choosing) ahead of you instead of always being "inside" you (gross) " Only downside is I keep trying to get their tow on straights :D
Haha. Thanks for sharing. I know you can also change the opacity of the car to make it look more like a real car. It still goes ghosted when you get close though.
A good way to use the ghost car is to practice against a lap file performed by someone with good pace. If you use VRS or another setup/coaching site, this is easy to do. If you're on a league or have a friend with good pace that's willing to share a lap file with you, this is another good option.
Hey Jose wish you the best on the channel! One question your views on 1440p 32” monitors….curved or flat for a triple screen setup? I’m struggling with this decision Thanks!
Many many thanks! I’ve been trying hard to give support to so many, so it makes me happy that people are watching. To answer your question though, I can only answer based on looks. I prefer the look of curved 32s but have not had a proper chance to race on them.
@@Racing_Simulator_Support that was exactly my thoughts they do look better. My rig is going in my game room so it will be the center piece. Only downside I see is that curved with IPS are more pricey.
Hi, this is irrelevant to the video, i wonder if you can help, im looking buy a wheel base, i mostly play ATS the base im looking to get is fanatec podium dd2 do you no if thats compatible with p.c.
Really good advice. Guessing you’re a new channel so I wish you every success from the UK. I’m a newbie to setting up a reasonable rig so will watch your posts with interest.
Many thanks. I am a new channel but have been working with a manufacturer for nearly 5 years. I have learned a lot so the channel is aimed at sharing that knowledge. Thank you for watching.
you said you where going to event in illinois. When and where ,i would enjoy being able to check out sim equipment in midwest USA. I haven't been very sucessful with goggle searches of sim events in usa
