She is not black her mother is east indian and her father is also east indian and Irish from Jamaica. Jamaica is a nation, not an ethnicity or race. There are Chinese Jamaicans. East indian Jamaicans, African descent Jamaicans and yes Caucasian Jamaicans just like there are Caucasian south Africans and Caucasian Australians, even though neither are the indigenous people of those countries. I was at the Carnival and I was surprised anywhere I walked I saw only the Jamaican flags and ALMOST everyone was wearing the Jamaican colours . I was also looking for the culinary of Trinidad and Tobago and all over was only Jamaican food Stalls. There was a truck playing the trini soca music with a man singing and others were in the truck there was a medium size flag stick inside the truck and at the back of the truck there was a very gigantic Jamaican flag someone was waving it high up just out the truck and behind the truck. Trinidad and Tobago brought the Carnival to the UK but it looks like is Jamaica brought it instead.😢
I DON'T know where you were walking, but I attend the carnival on Eastern Parkway every year and I NEVER see what you are talking about. The Trini flag is ALWAYS prominent and so is CARIBBEAN FOOD, including Trini food. TRINIDAD's food is unlike many of the other islands and that is including Jamaica. A lot of what we cook in Trinidad, Jamaicans DON'T know anything about them, but ALL of what Jamaicans cook with the exception of ackee, are cooked in TRINIDAD and the other islands. We call those foods Creole foods, whereas Jamaicans and other ignorant people call them Jamaican. The STUPIDITY of many Jamaicans to call foods cooked in every Caribbean island, Jamaican food. You are one of those ignorant ones! We ALL eat curry goat, oxtail and peas and rice, but you ignorant people see them and identify them as Jamaican. You people need to educate yourselves!
