The whole green courtesy light is ridiculous. At least in MB they're allowed red and white and are given EV status. In Sask they run sirens! How it should be.
This was my dads house, he put some french fries on to cook, went to his porch and saw his ederly neighbour trying to shovel her sidewalk, so he went to help her, and forgot about the french fries. He passed away a few years ago, i miss him so much. Rip Dad 😢

I would guess it has something to do with the US emergency personnel coming to Canada. There was quite the debate on what do do with the rescued passengers, likely for the same reason. I assume that's why another Canadian vessel took them onboard.

That's to bad that a life was lost 😞, any loss of a victim of fire is sad. The fire was really blowing out of the 1st floor windows, and to see it pop out the roof you knew that it was in the walls. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
Hate to be that guy but, this would just be a normal box alarm, and possibly a 2nd alarm assignment depending on which batt chief had the scene. A commercial box is only struck for commercial property's, IE party stores, grocery stores, malls, ect. Love seeing the boys from my hometown workin the Job though!
We’re aware. The Commercial Box was only struck to request more units. I mean it was a pretty big townhouse so I see why they struck the commercial box.
Detroit has 2 assignments. Box Alarm Fire a single Dwelling. And a Commercial Box Alarm. For multiple dwellings, apartments buildings, or Commercial structures. This incident consisted of 5 engines 3 trucks 2 TMS rigs. Monday morning quarterbacks at their finest
Strange. Tower 1 has 2 air horn sets. The loud ass ones on the bumper and the bog standard Hadley Ho978 horns that are fitted to a sh*tload of Macks when they leave the Allentown, PA factory.

That isn't a quint anymore, it's a Quad. Those guys better live it up; Quadruple Combination Engines are an extremely rare breed these days. There are a very small handful of them here in the states, but until I saw this none I knew of outside the US. Baltimore City Fire in Maryland had one for a long while, was originally a ladder with a booster tank (300 gal or less) with a 75-foot stick that if memory serves suffered a stick failure. Truck still ran so the department stripped the stick and outriggers, packed the ladder trench with dunnage boxes for gear and reassigned it as an engine company. Became the only quad in the city for years till it was finally retired; I think it was an ALF or Mack (wanna say ALF though). Quads really need to make a comeback, so many departments that need lots of ladders but can't afford a ladder truck could benefit, and so could volunteers whose districts have buildings that aren't above 3 stories.
From what I heard it was the outriggers failed testing so took the stick off as no longer able to safely use…I agree, could have made the repairs or rebuild it as a specialty rig (ie a rescue, tanker/ pumper)
It is correct that the outriggers didn't pass testing. Due to the cost of fixing the issue, the age of the rig, the amount the ladder is actually utilized in the field, it was determined that rather than spend a lot more money on fixing the issue it would be more cost efficient to not do the repairs.
